  • Wonderful! I have loved this man's work since I was a small child. Thanks for your efforts!

  • His work is way better than Michelangelo's.

  • Thank you for a beautiful video of one of my favorite artists; it moved me deeply. Ciao, Rachele

  • religiosa profunda. detalles perfectos. como una oración.

  • unquestionably Bernini was one of the greatest artists of all time - like the gregorian chant extremely beautiful but the photography does not display his exquisite talent as well as some others

  • How I can learn with you free!

  • The Poignant and Dazzling Genius of the Great Master!!!

Thank you very much!!! *brendafohio * for sharing your legacy so Rich!!! ***************

  • The pieces speak for themselves. I consider myself a tattooer. In time I will be an artist.

When my work will speak for itself. These pieces remind me of how high the standards should be for art in any medium. Classic!

  • makinglovetotheday: You're right!

Great art (whatever the medium) is

based on the standards one places.

While not one who'd ever consider a tat -

I am so blown away w/ those tat artists who are so above the norm! Case in point: Kat Von D as seen on TLC channel,

LA Ink! Her ability to ink a photo or pic of

someone creating a life-like portrait is astonishing!

    Bernini turned marble into life-like figures;

and, the greatest tattoo artists are able to do it with ink in skin!

  • thanks for the video!!

  • This sculptor is my inspiration..he has helped me to develope my own skills and imagination immensley..thanx for posting.

  • Excellent video *****

  • I like his work I just don't liek who he was as a person, and what he did to Costanza.

  • I really love this video.

  • un bel video!

  • Great upload.

This has made me get off my but and start uploading pieces of a Bernini video that I have. Check it out if you like although it will be a week or so before it is all uploaded.

  • This man was truly blessed with talent.

  • pick up a chisel of some kind and feel it..now think of developing techniques with the tool..now think of ideas, along with years of observational skills..thats right, damn hard.

  • Nice video, he was (imho) the greatest sculpture ever. I also like the music, can you tell me what this is?

  • I wish i could sculpt like that. This is true Art at it's best and to label a so called artist like Damien Hurst is a great travesty.

Italians are born with creativity and talent- must be in the genes.

  • St Peter Square is his best work. Look at the stones on the floor. Not too far away from the obelisk in the center and towards the basicila Bernini actually chiseled his heart into one of the red stones. It's a nice little easter egg that not a lot of people know about.

  • Besides The music is perfect. Awesome!

  • Bernini is one of the most greatest genuis of mankind, i'm glad the people recognizew him. The ecstasy of st. Teresa is the best masterpiece of erotism in History

  • brenda, I am glad, you agree with me; this kind of art is not rare, but UNIQUE

  • bellissimo. that is the result of no tv, art in his blood, patience, and NO mistakes allowed.

  • Yes television does suck away motivation and imagination.

  • A very enjoyable video. He was an amazing man. The sculptures are very complicated indeed sometimes.

  • Thank you. I agree Bernini was amazing, he had a miraculous amount of talent and skill. Combined with a genuine joy in his chosen field.

  • God given talent for sure- but I cant help wonder, assuming the earth rotated then at the same speed that it does now, where he got the time (regardless of assistants). I can barely sketch these days, time's moving so quickly

  • Yes, that seems to be true for me as well. I think we just try to pack too much into our lives nowadays.

  • Well many of his works took years to finish, but I think he just had a great talent.

  • Well, he made quite a living off of his art. For most artists, that is very difficult now a days. But, Bernini was a friend of popes, which made his life a little easier.
