really nice job editing! did you edit some of the music also?

Pretty much all the music actually. I recorded all the gameplay and cutscenes without music (adding the music back in during editing) so I'd have the freedom to change the pacing of scenes (or even removing or rearranging some dialogue) as I saw fit. Curiously enough though, the cutscenes rarely have music behind them in the game. Usually only when the characters specifically mention a song playing in the background ("Diamonds" or "Pearls") is music heard during a cutscene.

This game seems less like a game and more like an episode with very short playable sequences. Did you edit out some of the actual game portions or is it really this sparse?

This was edited to resemble a movie as much as possible, and so I opted to show no more of the actual gameplay than what was necessary to tell the story. There is a lot more to the game than what is shown here (I skipped almost all of the shooting and flying levels because they didn't fit the "movie") and it lasts around 8 hours.
