  • You know, this is disgusting. They are parodying something without getting the meaning of the original song. The men in this band haven't felt what the original song is all about. The song isn't just a meaningless pop hit. It's an expression of frustration with smug people like this who don't know what it's like to face down a dark night of the soul. I know I'm sounding like a whiny teen here, but they don't get it. And I don't think they ever will.

  • @ThatPunkGuy13 you do know these guys are speaking about Jesus, also think about this. these guys had to PARODY the originals so that means they had to read and understand it.

  • Wow...That's deep...

  • Nice, except it's too slow for the chorus.

  • lol? nice one.

  • best linkin park lyrics ever. ty apologetixs I bet someone gets saved from this

  • @jeasusfreak34988 i agree, this world doesnt mind drugs, lust, satan, but when it comes to jesus we are sooo apposed we go out of our way to destroy it

  • This is an awesome, great, cool, amazing song!!!

    ~ Joyce

  • Chorus needed some work still - it seemed a bit off.

Also, I was a little disappointed that it was only 1 Cor 13, and not the general flow of the book. I suppose it's all most people would know of 1 Cor, but still =/

  • this wasnt that bad

  • I got surprised with the beginning. I was like...what? In the End? (which is my favorite song of Linkin Park's by the way :P) Pretty good parody.

  • alrighty then, people. can we stop arguing about ApologetiX vs. Weird Al (both of whom I love) and just listen to the song if we like it and not listen if we don't??? i don't get why everyone's arguing!

  • LINKIN PARK!

  • I guess overall it wasn't too bad, but the chorus was horrible.

  • @wilko21 You tried so hard but failed so far

In the end Your comment doesn't matter

You had to fall to F it all

In the end Your just another bastard

  • I love jesus <3

  • what's the original to this song?

  • @irock0123 In the End by Linkin Park

  • Lurv LP and the real song, and I love this as well :D

  • lol

  • LOL

  • This makes me want to listen to Linkin Park hehe, but still a great song

  • i like the orginal song better, but your voice is o.k.

    jamie

  • mmmmmmmmm

  • hahah

  • hahah

  • haha

  • haha

  • This is FRICKING LINKIN PARK!

It's okay, but linkin Park is de bomb

  • Frikkin awesome! bout time we get some awesome christian bands out there that know how to sing about Scripture.

  • @YESHUAISMERCIFUL Apologetix is a really down to earth band with a solid grasp of scripture and a love for the Word (and the God of the Word). Every song is focused on something from scripture and often (like nearly every song) they will tell you exact chapter and verse AS THEY SING. (re-watch the video and read the lyrics --- they are taken straight from 1st Corinthians 13 just as they say in the song itself.) Apolegetix really is a band worth listening to.

  • Linkin Park's original version is better. This band has ruined so many good songs. Like "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne... :p

  • @DesertStorm12346 this song sucked in the first place, nobody is losing out

  • wow...worst Linkin Park cover...of all time

  • Tom Milness my church pastor for Inferno Youth Ellport Pennsylvania Became the lead guitarist 3 years ago Right Up To God And Hand On The Bible.

  • i love this song, its so much better than the original, lol

  • @iluvchrist4ever5490 no it's not.

  • BEASTLY

  • dude i never get tired of listenin to this song!!!

  • AWESOME

makes me want to go read Corinthians. hahaha actually, all there songs make me want to read the bible lol

  • I believe that is J's goal. He reads through the Bible once a year and usually starts a second time.

  • @jsfdude 1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. :)

  • @jsfdude thats what theyre meant to do o_0

    haha but ya me to

  • @jsfdude it's a good book

  • @jsfdude all of these covers make me want to go on a killing spree of reterded babies while raping their mothers and killing their fathers, robbing their houses, destroying their cities

  • @tkdoud1

uh weird guess we got different stuff out of it!

and are you sure destroying the city is the best way to go? I mean its redudent steal there stuff then destroy most of it? not alot of sense to me mad

  • @tkdoud1 Well, if it makes you feel that way, why listen to it?

  • @FrenchSongsM yea i have no clue, i must apologize to all you hardcore christians and even the non hardcore ones i commented that a while ago when i didint really care about other people but i have discovered my real self and now i just feel bad for being like that :/

  • OUTSTANDING

  • very well done song

  • it sound like a linken park song

  • @sk8ALLday321

.....its supposed to be a parody of linkin park song which is why its sounds like one..

  • @sk8ALLday321 Really, Einstein?

  • cause its a cover of in the end

  • it is a linken park song haha they just put beter werds en et

  • i am wondering why people do go and get mad at weird al when he parodies a song ..anyone want to comment?

  • wat

  • weird al parodies lots of songs and no one gets mad and says that he ruins a song but if someone parodies it to christian lyrics why do people get hateful, mad, and mean

  • lol I think Jesus gave us that answer ;)

  • i am speaking "saved" christains

  • I was saying he said there always gonna hate us lol,(because they hated him first)and we've seen it uh?

  • @jesusfreak34988 because it sucks...

  • @jesusfreak34988 They're both good. Al is for humor, APolo is for awesome

  • @4dojo weird all has many songs of inappropriate content that parents dont want kids hearing but i guess that is what sells ..

  • @jesusfreak34988 It's like whtat Paul said. Nothing is evil in and of itself. It's the meaning you pput behind it that corrupts it.

  • @4dojo yes and the meaning behind many weird al songs with the cursing sex alcohol and many other things is in fact a bad meaning behind it

  • @jesusfreak34988 sex, alcohol, exc are all good things in moderation. . . . .then again, I'm gettting off topic

  • @4dojo yes and if married is great but in songs its not between husband and wife 00.99.99% of the time

  • @jesusfreak34988 lol. That's probably true. I'm curious if you think all humor than any kinda dirty conotation is wrong?

  • @jesusfreak34988 Cause "christians steal everything" obviously. I am being sarcastic by the way.

  • @jesusfreak34988 honestly, I don't care what other people think of the parodys. I think their awesome! :D

  • @jesusfreak34988 Because Christian Parodies are lame. I am a Christian, and I just feel like it makes us look lame. People see Weird Al, and laugh, we're not looking for laughs though, that's why.

  • @bordozmusic no actually they are not I have learned tons of things from them that I would have never known or at least it would have been alot harder to learn had I not listened to apologetix ..music teaches and also ..it is a great way to give people Christ honoring lyrics and show those who listen to music that does not do such that Christians have fun too ...most people say they listen to the music for its sound anyways not the lyrics ...but surprisingly enough they know just as many lyrics

  • @bordozmusic You must be one of those Christians without a sense of humor. It takes a lot of work to be able to replicate a song with as much accuracy as ApologetiX musters. ApologetiX also does write funny songs, but their focus is on saving the lost and educating Christians.

  • @ChristianMusician85 I don't even know what that is supposed to mean, no sense of humor. No, I am just not a Christian who believes to be one, you have to listen to music that says Jesus in it, especially not terrible parodies. Weird Al is actually funny. We can differ, and what not. All I am saying is, this is not my cup of tea, but I don't think I am any less of a Christian. If that's okay with you. No point in arguing. It just seems like, when things like this are done, we get made

  • @ChristianMusician85 of. But no matter. i am glad you have found this to save you. And I'm sorry, it's not hard to replicate something with accuracy like this. You follow the tabs, and find words that rhyme. Especially with rock songs. Where most of those are simplistic lyrics, and rhymes.

  • @bordozmusic I'm guessing you're not a musician. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but your words don't sound like they're coming from a musician. First of all, Weird Al and his band transcribe all the songs by ear. I think ApologetiX does the same. Have you ever looked at tabs? They don't tell you anything except for what fret and string are played. They don't tell you the rhythm, or how to play the song at all. You have to listen to the song for countless hours to be able to play it accurately...

  • @bordozmusic from the tabs. Plus, you have to be a good musician to be able to replicate it exactly. You have to know what kind of guitar/keyboard/drums are being used, what settings, what amps are being used...all of these things and more go into recreating a song to sound like the original. Plus, it's not just writing new lyrics to old songs...you have to be able to do it well, which is what J. Jackson and "Weird Al" does. J. Jackson has written funny parodies, too. But that's not his purpose.

  • @bordozmusic Also, I never said I was saved by ApologetiX. I was a Christian for a long time before discovering them. I just said that's one of their missions. These are actual songs you can give an unsaved friend that would do better than actual Christian songs you hear on the radio. You should subscribe to their fan club (even though you're not a fan). With their newsletters, they include many testamonies of people being saved by their ministry.

  • @bordozmusic I kinda agree. This one is not too bad, to the extent it's not a parody. Someone told me P.O.D. reminds them of Linkin Park. I like P.O.D.

  • @jesusfreak34988 cause the world doesn't want to accept the truth of Jesus

  • ......................................

  • the first time i heard this was on a FF9 video, there were a lot of people talking how this is a stupid song, so after too much of it the user removed the video, im glad i found it again ^^

  • Awesome!

  • "what it gets to be is essentially just a parody like this rhyme is of Linkin Park."

I LOLed so much at this line! so funny!

  • Well done.

  • lol soo funny. "First corinthiaaaaaaaaans first letter 13th chapterrrrrrr"

  • This is a great video!people who disagrees with this video should just close the window and stop acting cool and rebellious, seeking attention from righteous christians

  • what is it with people and going onto some video and bashing it just cuz they don't like it....if you don't like this then go listen to Linkin Park....

  • I meant "incongruous" in my last comment. Sorry for the typo.

  • This is a very inspiring song...but I have to admit that I got a chuckle out of the random lines about Paul that were inserted into the song that seem a little congruous: "Buddy, Paul wrote that to Corinthians"; "That Paul fella's smart."

  • Praise the Lord!

  • it better be jus a parody

  • i love this song

  • My family knows this group personally!

  • this is linkin park's song

  • It's a parody.

  • LOVE this song!!

    And of course Apologetix too.

  • hahhahahahha AMEN!!

  • ...Being happy about that is... troubling.

  • I agree! That's NOT something 2 b happy about! You should be praying 4 this person instead!

  • Overall, this was pretty good but I liked the second verse better than the first. The second verse he quoted pretty much verbatim 1 Corinthians chapter 13.

  • interesting...

  • J. jackson, the lead singer of Apologetix, approves of your video. He sent me a link to it a couple of days ago.

  • wow, huh??

  • Hey, CFgirl, I just thought you'd like to know, J. Jackson approves of this video. He suggested I use it in my show next month. Kudos!

  • um what?

  • guys, grow up. granted its not the best video on earth but it is ok. i personally like apologetix but dont judge those who do or dont

  • @jeremyworcester6692 It looked like he was defending the video from an attacker.

  • I love this song. While it doesn't have the same musical quality as Linkin Park, I enjoy this as I enjoy many other Apologetix songs. Thanks for posting the lyrics!

  • Actually, this is a song by a real band. The song was realeased a few years back. Apologetix is a Christian parody group. So it's not illegal. He didn't make this song. He credited the band at the end. :)

I think this song is very claver, personally. I really like it.

  • I really don't see how it can be considered clever. Any body can change the lyrics for a song and leave the music intact.

My point was simply that (and I should've posted this first) perverting a popular song to suit your needs or wants is kinda lame. If they want respect as a band, they should write their own material.

  • It is not perversion, people may not see it as clever, but not perversion. They are writing their own material. Science is built on changing theories and developing new things from existing technology. These parodies are trying to prove a point, bring hope, bring joy, and share God's LOVE with the world.

  • Three points, Th3enema:

    1. Parodies are not subject to normal copyright law. This video is not illegal.

    2. Let's see you do better.

    3. Converting people? This is about LOVE. But even if it had the gospel in it, how is that devoid of meaning? Just because YOU do not appreciate it does not mean it has no value.

  • 1. Millions of people disagree.

    2. No you haven't done better. I promote music for a living, man, and I can tell you that even someone who goes flat but sings with love sounds better than a master musician full of vitriol. (To be fair, I'm willing to listen to your stuff.)

    3. ...and it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertime. Listen to the lyrics, man. Or better yet, read 1 Corinthians 13 and see for yourself what we're all about.

  • P.S.

I visited your channel, th3. You haven't posted a single video. If you think you've done better, prove it.

  • PS. I don't post on YouTube. So of course you won't find a video. Just because I don't have a video on my account doesn't mean I don't exist.

I mean, what is this? Only YouTube can confirm ones existence now?

  • Well, if you're gonna try to dennounce my claim by making a claim of your own, then you need to prove it too.

See, I'm not into having idiotic arguements with people over stupid videos, so I'm done here. If you can possibly come up with something that proves this is "good", maybe I'll give it a chance. But it completely sucks in my opinion.

  • you are overreacting, this is a great song and it has nothing to do with you,it is legal and dont try to denouce them claiming we are denoucing you.i bet you are just seeking attention and acting cool and rebellious trying to get attention by scolding music that has nothing to do with you, people enjoy and are legal

  • You saying that Christians songs are nothing about love rips at my soul. How could you possibly say that. Christianity is trying to become more like Christ who showed us ultimate love, dying for your sins. This message is a message of love and hope and there are many more if you look for them. Christian beliefs are foolishness to non-believers. I cant blame you if you don't believe or shove the gospel down your throat. That is not what God is about. It is about a relationship of love and faith.

  • And I thought normal christian rock was bad...

  • they just ruined this song for me this song suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • I like the original song, but for a Christian parady this one's not too bad. I might actually get this song.

  • I usually love ApologetiX, but this is just... not good. The original song is amazing and this is good, don't get me wrong, but it just isn't as good as it could have been.

  • you see i storngly beleave that you can listen to non-christian music and be strong i crist too i listen to Demon hunter and bullet for my vallentine its all about how much you trust yourself and god if god didnt put my best bud in my life id like more than 3 slipknot songs he keeps me acountable so i can listen to atrayu and still know that if skrew up my buds guna step up and say yo watch out if you dont have acountability then get it is changes your walk

  • You can, but it depends on the words really if it is right or not. If the song is talking about how they want to get a girl, no, if it's talking about violence or anything violent, no, curse words, no. I don't listen to any non-Christian music because I don't want to be set astray or get anything in front of Christ in my life. If you look at something or someone and love it more than God, I'm afraid that Christ isn't first in their life.

  • cool same here! my stepmom and i only listen to Christian music, and she used to know carl in the apolagetix band!!!!!!! i dont think people will believe me though lol.

  • Really? Only Christian music because you don't want to be led astray? Rock is the devil's music, right? See, you should be a little bit more open minded, because it doesn't matter what the bands genre is, but what matters is if the music speaks to you.

I'm an agnostic, for example, but I love Red and Flyleaf and Skillet, because although they themselves are christian, they're music is universal.

  • I don't really listen to only Christian music for just that reason, but also because i love it, and i'm just not too crazy about the others. There are a bunch of songs i like that don't have to do with Christianity though. Also, I don't think rock is the devil's music.

  • Hello, rock was first started by Christians.

    O.o

  • ?!?! Since when?!?!

  • Rock isn't devil's music, but heavy metal is surely, people recorded metal songs and play it backwards and it it mocking Christ,i hope one day the world will be free from heavy metal's drugs, violence, gore and sex......And they are real ugly!

  • dumbass go look up stryper and demon hunter they're christian metal and there's a lot more heavy metal bands out there that aren't satanic. Most heavy metal bands are actually aware that there is a God

  • really?well,i am glad but there are still many satanic bands who bites off a bat"s head in a concert

  • nah, that was only ozzy

  • @Lundvalnaden And an accident to boot. He thought it was a fake bat.

  • hahah

  • God does not say that metal is a sin. The messages are clearly not Godly. God wants us to make a decision to remove what causes us to sin. We listen to sinners all the time. But can we turn things around for God's glory? Christian metal bands may have done just that.

  • @CFgirl no it wasn't...sounds like someone doesnt kno their music history very well

  • @CFgirl Please elaborate.

  • @th3enigma way to be a failure, you decide to like some "christian" music and then you choose some of the stupidest generic bands there are

  • @mcbac508 Good job, targeting someone who completely forgot this video existed, since he posted on it a year ago.

Hmm...again, I don't like the music because it is "Christian." I like it because it is good. That is the distinction here. The bands that I listen to that some consider "Christian" are simply to my tastes.

Let me guess, mcbac508, you're taste in music is impeccable, right? You only listen to THE most original artists, amirite?

  • @th3enigma i do only listen to THE most original artists, i get bored to tears with everything else

  • Accountability is good. I beleive that you can listen to non-Christian music. You cannot say that techno or just plum crazy songs are bad because they do not glorify God. Time may change your opinion about listening to some songs because of the messages they bring. God says to guard your heart. If people see you listening to a certain song will they question if you are living for God. I pray that you can live an example for your friends. Pray, Live, Tell, Serve, and Give. Have faith. God Bless.

  • @Nezbire hey bud, i just want you to know that you have literally written the funniest youtube comment i have ever read. I hope you and your buds keep it real, and if you find crist hard enough you can probably listen to a whole slipnought album and not give too craps, keep rollin in them revalations.

    xbraindrillx

    Corinthians 5:19:4:2:X

  • Could you do the same for "Swimmer" by ApologetiX, too?

  • If I can find that song.

  • i love apologetiX they take a great song, but make it even better because it has a much better message. i dont normally like parodys but i like them

  • Sorry. I meant "contains".

  • I like this stuff. It's got a good message and cool music. The original I thought was cool, except the lyrics...cause music is more than the sound of it...it's also about the message it conatains.

  • Exactly.

  • agreed

  • Um...have you listened to the original song? Linkin Park always has a message, it just isn't "convert to Christianity"

Oh, and you should use spell check.

  • (shrugs) I don't know the members of Linkin Park. I do know Apologetix.

If you start dissin' other artists on YouTube and saying you're better, then yeah. You prove it on YouTube or you don't exist.

Just to prove my point, I asked around and asked people who they'd prefer to listen to. They said that if your level of uncouth comes through in your music, they'd rather listen to Halfshell Hero, who tends to go flat on occasion, but sings with love.

BTW, YOU started the "idiotic argument".

  • When did I say I was better? I said the original was better, and there is far more out there that is better. This band is not to my liking, not only because they bastardize other people's songs, but because they just aren't very good.

I don't know who you are asking, but I don't care. I'd rather listen to people who not only love what they do, but are good at it.

  • Th3

You said you were better. Scroll down.

It's not "bastardizing", it's "parody". Learn the difference.

    Yes they are good.

If you'd rather not listen to Apologetix, then don't! Nobody forced you to. All you have to do is leave. Instead, you hang around making a total *ahem* of yourself.

  • Hmm, so I did...my bad. But still, they leave much to be desired in the skill department. His rapping is off beat, and just seems like he's trying to be cool instead of getting his point across. And a parody is a bastardization. Look it up in the dictionary, I just did.

Further more, I listened to this song once, and decided not to judge them based solely on this, and listened to more. The only reason I'm still here, is because you keep replying.

Don't want me here? Don't talk to me...

  • I lol'ed @ yous.

  • who, me?

  • I don't know!
