To people who want to play like this: Just practice a little every single day, and if you want to play the exact techniques: google sweep picking and legato tapping. It isn't as hard as it sounds or looks :D Just takes practice.

@metalmikebot No offense to drawnacrol, but if you think he's anywhere near the technical ability of MAB, well... I'm sorry. Much of Vai's 10-hour practice is dedicated to ear training and theory exercises, not just technique. And also, Vai and MAB haven't gained their popularity through playing alongside loud studio tracks that help to cover up mistakes and sloppy playing, they do their own live and studio playing. That's a whole new world altogether.

@eveningninja Vai's 10-hour routine he used at Berklee was an hour of rudiments, an hour of scales, and an hour of chords all repeated twice, plus a tenth hour for jamming/writing. Most virtuosos have put tons of time into technique.

I don't think Locan's in that league just from some advanced covers, but being able to play with that kind of speed and accuracy after only four years is very impressive, and to do it with so little practice is unbelievable.
