  • hi, i have a problem with my stereo, before has problem with the battery it was the alternator, now the stereo dont cut off. i take off the key and dont cut off untiel i unplug the fuse.. why? help me please.. chevy tahoe 04 and a touch screen pienner..

  • I was just about to dump my unit and get a new one..Thank you for this awesome vid..Done it and it's working perefectly,,found the tuner audio output in the manual.

  • @camry4ever *perfectly

  • I did this trick with an old Ghetto Blaster: put RCA jacks in the back, and attached the leads from the jacks to the cassette head lead inputs on the momboard. Then I had a cassette shell that I would drop in the slot to turn the thing on when I hit "play"

  • With us here in the STATES, we would need a miniature DPDT switch. Or, with a cassette radio, attach the three, 3.5" jack input leads across the leads of the playback head itself, then do a SPST switch across the cassette engage mechanism switch to switch off radio and turn on the AUX. Everything is attached in parallel.

  • Very cool hack. I'd like to do this with an old pioneer supertuner car stereo and do what you did but also add a line out for an amp or recorder. I have another car stereo which I'm trying to do this with as well. I want to find the line input after the cassette preamp and add a line input to that.

  • so tell me this, how would i switch it if my head unit was in the car like it is spose to be? good job on your High school soldiering. make a BETTER system.

  • @Conasnipes: Is this an complainment or what? This is only an example how can you create an input. You can put your switch and input wherever you want, even outside your car if you want :) My head unit is not in my car, so the best place to put connector and switch was at the head unit's rear mask.

Which high school soldering? We didn't solder in our school, I'm in gymnasium...

    Sry on my bad english...

  • @jazzlook

Now, when the school finish, I will have time to play a little bit with this and I will try to make an input trough AM. I think that almost nobody listen AM anymore. So, the selector would be on the front without installing anything :) Just push BAND (or AM) an you can listen from input.

  • Yo can you give me the list of songs you just played in this video. It would help.

  • @kapri11212

    R.I.O. - Serenade (0:05)

DJ Jose - Like that (2:35)

Edward Maya ft. Vika Jegulina - Stereo Love (3:35)

    Fragma - Memory (5:00)

    Inna - Hot (7:10)

  • a couple vague instructions a worthless pictures, great video. try explaining as if we dont already know how to do it

  • @kenoPONY

  • @1990iceboy : Hi! Sorry for my late answer.

I don't know much about cars. So, the HU is important. Which HU you have? Factory instaled? With cassete player or CD?

  • @INJEKSN

    NO IT'S OK :

FIRST THANK YOU FOR REPLAY MY CAR HAVE CD AND CASSETE BOTH THEY WORK .. !! it should i buy some hardware right >> .. maybe you just give me some recommendation cause i know store their are specialize developing electronics and stereo's .. thanks very much

    yori

    kuwait

  • @1990iceboy:

First: I don't want to be responsible if you damage your HU or car !! So, there are few options: cassette adapter with input cable, FM transmitter, or to do the same thing as I do in this video, but this is the hardest way; you have to pull out your HU, open it and find the tuner then do the same thing as I do on this video.

  • this looks great, but .. is it harmful to the car's electric circuit?

  • @gyeomusic if you asking me, all you can damage is your head unit.... I didn't try this in car (I use car radios in my room) but I done this on 2 different head units and it always work perfectly... you can take a look on my 2 other videos with JVC HU on which I done the same... if you do this correctly, you won't have problems... just watch out that everything is connected and soldered properly... and watch out when you put radio back in car how you gonna connect it...

  • @INJEKSN my HU actually had a cassette player, which i wish to solder the input from cassette player's reader to aux in, where i would put a non ribbon cassette into the HU, which triggers the HU to read from the cassette's input, is it possible???

  • @gyeomusic: be careful with cassette player... I done this once and MP3 player's amplifier got burned... I don't know if the HU burned it but take a look is there any current on this wires... For triggering, there must be some piece which you need to push or insert a cassette and unsolder wires from cassete head... But I would reccomened this: img.alibaba.com/photo/12234399/mp3_cd_cassette_player_adapter.jpg if you have cassette player... with this you don't need to open your HU

  • @INJEKSN Great information, thanks! I can't get the url to work, but based on its name I assume it's one of those cassette adapters with a cord on it? I have one, but my cassette player has a broken drive belt, and only plays it momentarily before the auto-reverse flips the play direction back and forth, then ejects the cassette. I originally planned to try to create an auxiliary input point somewhere in the cassette area, but your above comment about burning the mp3 player worries me :-P

  • @INJEKSN Do you think there's a way to disable the auto-reverse function of a cassette player? I've searched but can't find anyone who has done it.

  • @INJEKSN how do u use them in your room? i wanna do it

  • @bowlerbob93 you need to have a 12V power supply... I use an old power supply for LCD monitor but you can use ATX power supply for computers, it has lots of power... then you need to connect the radio as you are in car; wire for 12V and for memory you connect on +12V on power supply, ground on ground and then connect your speakers on HU and antenna for tuner... sry on my bad english...
