  • As per BrokenAeroVT, use a wood (cork) plate with foil pasted on top underneath the burner and increase your incoming ventilation to at least half that of the area of the flame front. You can do this with four rectangular holes below the flame in your windscreen or cut holes in a base plate and raise the plate.

  • With little air ventilation on the screen, the combustion is choked and power is reduced making the boil time inflate. I don't know the temperature of the concrete beneath the stove, but that can be a considerable source of heat loss from radiation and conduction to the ground. Using a foil floor and placing an insulation pad beneath the stove could save from 25-50% of wasted heat.
