Final Cut Pro X Tutorial Part 2 : Audio & Sound Effects

I have a big big problem. When i put the audio file in final cut it is saying everything twice!! WHY??? PLEASE HELP ME.... I have to make a schoolproject where i have to make a movie but it is saying everything twice... PLease help... im so streesed because i cant fix it..

Thanks for Video. ?: I have one music soundtrack going, I dropped in a audio vocal track via my internal mic, added effects to this track, and the effect, AFFECTS the other (sound) track while its running as well. Soon as the track with effects is over, the sound goes back to normal on the (sound) track. Not sure why...Help?

one question i had , how do we set up to edit or have the entire project not on the internal hard drive but on a external drive so it doesn't take to much space on the internal hard drive?

also do we need to convert the mov files into some other format like apple , if so what would be a good program for that?

Eh... FCPX doesn't have that feature where you can just select this button in the bottom left corner from FCP7 that looks like a bunch of jagged up-and-down lines. Then you select the pointer tool and you can actually make the audio fluctuate in volume or even manually change the opacity in clips?

@agentfridge i just deleted it, in order for me to get rid of the audio popping i had to export, then move it to iMovie and export it there, and that makes the quality look worse.... look at my vids and you could tell the quality used to be better, im done with FCP im getting after affects. you should too its better than this crap -__-

True. But you can never re-attach it. So, if you ever need to move that clip, both are now independent of one another. Not a big deal, but depending upon the complexity of the project, potentially bothersome.

Why is there no real waveform editor? This half a waveform view is weak! They could've at least used the Garageband waveform view

Why detach the audio? Just use the selection tool, highlight the part of the clip you want to effect, and drag the audio up or down. FCP will auto keyframe the beginning and end.

I suspect it's Quicktime's full screen capture option. If you want to be able to select an area I'd suggest getting Voila from the Mac App Store.

sometimes i upload a youtube video and the audio crackles. It's only on youtube though because when i play it back on either final cut or my exported video that crackling does not occur. If you could suggest something it would be great, thanks. :)
