  • For the people asking about the inbred remark... It's a unfortunate practice that some dog breeders use to get purebred dogs.

  • Wheres the Blue Beetle?wtf is with the jeep?

  • like the show but, harry has no car problems, and electronics do not break around him. Both are part of the overall story. plus murhpey would not ask him to a beer, just not possible

  • yes he really should get out more lol

  • Dresden gets all the ladehs ;3

  • Did anyone notice all the blatant dog puns in the Hair of the Dog episode? I mean besides the title and the obviousness of the werewolves.

    1. Bob saying 'Please don't drag me around like an inbred spaniel.'

    2. Harry telling Bob 'Stick your paw in there.'

    3. The ghost of the dead werewolf girl saying 'Hey, dog' to her friend.

    4. The villain telling our damsel in distress that when it gets dark he'll take her out and let her go on a tree.

    And I know there's more.

  • there are too many people trying to combine tv, and movies with the books. i don't know of one movie or tv show that is just like the book.

  • why did they cancel this? :'(

  • Full Moon-isc

    Episode

  • love the books. the show? i guess thanks for making it but... meh it coulda been better. and one thing. when the illusion dropped and the drum stick fell down did anyone else think "you just got logged bitch!!" ? anyone?

  • The thing I don't understand about shows and movies like this is "Why change it?". Seriously why would you take something well written and put it in a blender so you can wrap it all up in 42:42? "To be continued" "Same bat time same bat channel" used to fly.

  • @wdanen Why change it? There were only five books when this show started. That's not enough for an on going series. They had to make adjustments. And none of the test audience liked the talking skull.

  • a hockey stick?

  • Yes, he's got a hockey stick for a staff and a drum stick for a wand. Dresden is a blue collar wizard. He enchants whatever he can get a hold of. Isn't he cute? :-) I miss this show.

  • Not a bad series so far. Characters are...mostly true (personality wise at least). I miss Harry's wise-ass comments from the books, but by-and-large it's decent adaptation and all.

That said...the TV show doesn't even approach half as good as the books.

  • Never does.

  • I lke the epiode alot also. Man, that was really sad.

  • i love all this kind of stuff. some how werewolves always come out. i use to dream about them. my wife thinks that i use to hunt them in a past life.

  • I love Butter's I love Polka shirt!

  • Samenstau.

  • I really liked that red head :(

  • inbred cockerspaniel...lol

  • hawkie stix pow!

  • "An imbred cocker spanial" lol why that kind of dog, and why inbred?

  • Don't shoot at it! You're only going to piss it off!

  • I cant Belive that after all the times hes been right that she still dose not belive him straight that pisses me off so friggin bad!!!!

  • lol! his nose goes to eleven!

  • Ha. I wonder how man times he's used that line on a woman just so that he could smell thier hair.

  • pls add caption on

  • The worst part of the show is that, to my knowledge, they never had Lasciel

  • yes, the seducer fallen angel is a loss, but bear in mind, the show only had a few episodes, they might have just not gotten that far. and i think these all take place before storm front

  • you might be right, cuase after Storm Front, his door is Steel instead of Wood

  • @Mik5021 Yup, reading Fool Moon.... Steel Door. He changed it after the whole thing involving Susan and his apartment getting trashed.

  • or u might be looking for storm front. susan is in that one. n the girl in this one is HOT!!

  • I think I heard about this but forgot about it. So this is the first ep I have seen and I kinda liked it. I will pursue the other ep's as well. Are the books as good.? I mean w/out the special effects of course but I think I'd like to read them if they don't suck. I like the subtle magick of hollywood not Charmed and the Craft type of crap.

  • I think the Dresden Files books are actually better than the show. And I love the show. It broke my heart when Sci-fi canceled it.

  • Does anyone find this episode oddly reminiscent to the book, with Harry and Susan?

  • yeah it's like "Fool Moon" and where the hell is susan!!!!!

  • sadly the idea of a fbi agent as a wearwolf is not orignal chamred had it.

    the wearwolf doenst look convincing.

    however i like the ending.

  • And we all know Charmed was a paragon of originality and rapier wit.

  • Harry Dresden would fuego Edward Cullen's ass...

  • 31:50

Dresden "you feel this, that is your heart and it's a good heart."

Eli "That's not my heart, Dresden"

  • I love this show

  • KIrby's bar? as in Kirby the werewolf, if so kudos to the writters on the reference

  • There were lots of nice subtle nods to the books such as Kirby's bar, Butters' I love Polka shirts ect...

  • was there only one season???

  • Sadly yes only one.

  • This was a great episode.

  • i love werewolves

  • miss mary jane is real pretty

  • Hahaha. They used D&D sound effects.

  • Most sound effects departments reuse the same sound effects. They have a small catalog of classic and reusable sounds such as the Vilhelm scream used in many films.

  • i like the show hate the commercials

  • I want more Dresden Files!

  • never heard of this, but i really like it..

  • Wow; went all Law and Order there after the credits, didn't it?

  • If this is like Law and Order than I guess Being Human is like Three's Company...

  • I never thought of Law and order as having werewolves, ghosts, wizards and curses...

  • I don't think this is like Law and Order at all. Just because there are cops in it does not automatically make it like Law and Order. The Dresden Files was very unique.

  • past tense noted

  • if you want a law and order style watch Special Unit 2

  • mine isnt workin?

  • Maybe you have a week connection. It plays fine for me.

  • was the only one to catch the "I  Polka" On Butter's shirt? xD polka will never die!!

  • Yeah i saw it. That was the TV version of Butters

  • Yes, Butters wears I love Polka shirts every time he appears. It's a nod to the original novels.

  • 28:00

  • Eeeeeehhhh, I like it, but...I like the book's version of this situation a bit better. But for what it is, it's enjoyable.

  • According to Jim Butcher (author of The Dresden Files novels) You have to look at it as a separate universe from the books. Certain things were definitely an improvement on the show though such as Bob. Terrence Mann's version of Bob simply works better than what was in the books.

  • Okay is it just me or is "Red" super hot when she has wolf eyes and fangs?

  • Haha. To each their own. I actually find the old ghost hot. But then again I'm a female Broadway fan and I've heard him sing. It's kind of unavoidable at that point.

  • ALL I CAN SAY IS I LOVE THIS SHOW..!!!

  • This is my absolute favorite show. I took a course in parapsychology last year and this is the first show to honestly research all the occult beliefs. I don't think any other show having to do with the supernatural had ever been so well researched. It's kind of sad that my favorite show only had twelve episodes...

  • They decided to cancel it because they didnt think it was appropiate or that enough people we watching it

  • Usually low ratings does get a show canceled but this was the third highest for the channel on it's original run. Also scifi has always shown fantasy. So there's no reason they would deem it inappropriate for the channel. The first show Scifi ever aired was Dark Shadows.

  • This was a great episode with a few brilliantly quirky moments between Bob and Harry. I loved it.

  • same...but i wish they hadn't canceled it

  • I know how you feel. I doubt anyone really knows why this show wasn't continued. Who would drop a successful show based on a best selling book series? This could have easily been the Scifi Channel's equivalent of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

  • it could of matched up with sum of my favs shows like eureka and stargate
