  • I am proud of were I come from

  • I lived in Pretoria from 1970 to 1978, in fact I have lived in South Africa for 25 best years of my life. I now live in Spain and what a fuck up. I should have stayed and moved down to Cape Town, one of the nicest city in the world. And all those mothers that didnt like Pretoria I suggest you stay in your own gutless country. Yes, its me, I'm still here you bastards.

  • recordar es vivir .... alla estuve en cada calle, con bnoa amigos gracias a Dios por haber estado alla te recuerdo Petroria

  • really there is no place like home. i used to complain that pretoria is too busy and occupied. i am now in america and i can't wait to come back and admire my beautiful African city.

  • Thanks for this vid. I almost moved there years ago with my g-friend from London.

  • I Lived in Pretoria for five years. The climate is the best in the world and when the Jacarandas are in full bloom , its the most beutiful city in the country. How I wish I was still there and not in Durban where its hot and humid, and the humidity seems to be getting worse.

  • Yeah , what a beautiful video and for once great comments guys!! Pretoria (Tshwane ) is very calm , laid back, brighter sun ,warm weather and people. I am a Jo'burger and have enjoyed every moment in Pretoria. I'm missing the purple street's with Jacaranda trees on each sides. Pretoria rocks but JHB is still the best!!

  • @SindisiweC it is a home for ignorant people i am from argentina i am think the problem is the size of the white men dick in comparison with black people, they afraid about their freeze white woman can feel abtraction for this huge members, and we know that gays came to sudafica from England, jajajajajajaj CHUPA VERGAS

  • @100caor What are you saying exactly? I don't understand, if you are as intelligent as you claim to be the least you can do is to communicate properly. Pretoria rocks!

  • Pretoria is a very beautiful city . I have a facebook friend that lives here .

  • @richieroller67 it is a home for ignorant people i am from argentina i am think the problem is the size of the white men dick in comparison with black people, they afraid about their freeze white woman can feel abtraction for this huge members, and we know that gays came to sudafica from England, jajajajajajaj CHUPA VERGAS

  • Greetings from Auckland New Zealand, we have a large community of South Africans living in NZ. Many from Johannesburgh and Pretoria. I would like to visit Pretoria one day. Maybe when the All Blacks play, I'll support them at Loftus Versfeld.

  • im so excited im going there for uni

  • This looks like the Moregloed bus... lol! Passing through Villieria, moving down Beatrix etc... lol!

  • @ShadowsProductionz I am from argentina and we know than Pretoria is the most important homosexual, racists and motherfuckers men capital in the world.

  • @100caor WTF? lmao

  • OMG!! everybody is driving wrong way!!!

  • Does red mean go in Suid Afrika?

  • @mred1962dec well in south africa today it depends on what skin colour you are, what language you speak, and your religion. haha just joking, this vid doesn't deserve "racism" and depressing crap :)

  • @benbezuidenhout I am from argentina and we know than Pretoria is the most important homosexual, racists and motherfuckers men capital in the world.

  • @100caor. If you dont like Pretoria - then take the next flight out . We wont miss you one little bit. Your commnet cite hatred and violence so clear off out of my country we dont need the likes of you lot.

  • Home... I miss it so much :.(

  • Pretoria is a beautiful city. The majestic Magaliesberg and all the lovely Jacaranda trees in full bloom in October & November, simply awesome :)

  • Thank you so very much for this vid! I am a South African woman in England with my British hubby and I miss Pretoria so very much. I actually squealed at part at 1:14 because I saw the butchery that my aunt frequents. :D

  • Global movements effects all corners of the earth. i.e greeks influenced rome , romans spread round europe, British, Dutch, spanish, portuguese colonised many parts of the world, Arabs moved through north africa and southern europe too etc etc. Tribes moved round africa, colonising different parts exchanges of information culture etc we are all influenced by different cultures ideas nothing we can do to change this.

  • Without the white man the central and southern african blacks would still be in the stone age, many black teach there people they were so clever, then surly how could a entire continent fall into a coma and forget how to build the pyramids, how to write, how to trade currency, how to forget to read, how to forget to make the wheel, how to forget to record their history? You wanna know how? they didnt its a lie to try make them feel equel, white guilt is killing us all americans, brits, aussies

  • @djabr123abr how do u know that u cant destroy an organic way of life and deem it inferior to modern life coz we dont know wat wud have happened. Stop taking credit for work u didnt do u didnt invent anything dont use race as a bases to gain self confidence. i want u to do something and make humanity proud not blacks or maroons or purples but people

  • the only native south african are bushman and they aren't even black

  • @BERNIE0484 wat im part bushman and i can tell u im black

  • @thabisonkala thats what im saying PART bushman a straight up bush man isnt really pitch black theyre more colored

  • in south africa is so racial, i dont understand why

  • africa supposed to be black europeans colonized the place and oppres black ppl

    ANTIFA!

  • actually, when the whites went there, it was an empty place. no black population.

  • Actually there was, and we murdered our way inland..

  • you better tell your teacher he/she is wrong and you can show him/her the arrival dates of the first blacks (zulu's) in SA from UN archives to prove him wrong..

  • I have seen it myself in the " voortrekkers monument " Theres a few paintings there where you can see that the boeren are being attacked.

  • good for you!

you are free to believe the paintings than the un or any other official archives.

  • it's the truth, i believe my ancestors!

  • @MrZeroXnl I have no time for Black South Africans as they are racist towards the coloured, the asians and most of all the white members of Southern African society. They do not deserve to even BE IN South Africa. The San are the aboriginal population, and the Bantus/Zulus used murder, rape and slavery to coerce them. The whites are guilty of the same, but were victorious. People MUST respect that. The more powerful race takes over and thats how it should be. The racism of the black never ends.

  • @HyProGlo13 You racist piece of filth! Absolute racist scum the blacks in Africa...it makes me sick!

  • im not racist Ironslad africa was fucked by europeans they colonized it and then they left out of the countries leaving no resources or economy

  • if Malema nationalized...coup d'Etat...and 16 armies patrolling th streets of S.A...world while in Bankrupcy...nice to look at...in years

  • Pretoria is such a lovely city! I do miss it alot - lived there for 34 years.

I do pray that God would deliver SA from the evil that rules it at present.

Please pray for deliverance and peace for the beautifull people of my beloved South Africa.......

  • i dnt understand..what kinda peace u r talkin about

  • I'm talking about the kind of PEACE that all South Africans crave. To live in harmony with their fellow citizens without having to worry about their safety the whole time - we all want to live in our beautiful country and just enjoy it,without all the racial and violent s**t happening all around us everyday. I know one day my dream will come true! Just have to keep on praying!!

  • cool...i wish it comes true

  • I was curious about the SA murder rates - 38 year per 100,000 inhabitants in 2008, falling from 50 in 04. Fruits of the ANC creating an ungovernable generation? Well done ANC now put that genie back in the bottle. I live in St Louis 3rd highest murder rate in USA at 40 per 100,000 in 07 competes with Baltimore and Detroit to top honors... All 3 have large black populations. And yet Zambias rate is only 10 and its a much poorer place so it isnt race it is must be culture.

  • Well said mate. I knew many poor black people in SA, they were non violent and were not thieves. The ANC drives the culture of violence, if you look at how they intimidated black people during aparthied, and the hate speach they still preach (eg:Malema) today - it is a matter of culture.

  • Smell the gold... ANC is circling... Julius Malema vociferously advocating SA mines be nationalized. What credentials he has, as the leader of the ANC Youth League in mining escapes me. And yet here he is barking his thoughts out. Julius joined the Masupatsela as a lad of 9, receiving military training at 14 while in the ANC Youth League very brown shirtish to me. One to watch closely with credentials for murder and kleptomania if ever I saw one and now low and behold here he is!

  • I do think Pretoria is a lovely city but would not want to live there because of the murder rate and violent crime in general.

British citys are rapidly catching up with you. Lots of black gangs here in most citys.

  • Lots of South African's living in UK and they tell me crime is rampant and that is why they have left their homeland.

  • 52 Murders Alone per Day thats just murders...

  • I agree. I lived in Jo'burg for 2 years 1970 -72 and it was not that safe. Probably the most dangerous place in the world to live now.

I did visit your zoo and Pretoria is a lovely city. The Afrikarns people are very nice and have always been given a bad deal by other countrys.

  • @voyager4u - seriously gotta visit SA again - it`s changed considerably and the best places are the coastlines - West to East , all the cities - Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban ect... plus the amazing towns between these cities and their beaches.

  • @voyager4u wrong jhb cbd or aka mini lagos is the most dangerous

  • Is it a safe city?

  • Not if you're white

  • Thanks for the video. I lived in Pretoria as child.

May GOD forever bless Pretoria and all her residents.

    Me.

  • I'm going to Pretoria within the next few months, how is it there? Can you tell me the climate? I'd rather hear the information from a former-resident instead of a website..

    Thank you.

  • Hi, I lived in pretoria for 12 years, in summer it is hot and dry , average temp low to mid thirties. Thunderstorms quite common, heavy down pour, doesn't last long. In winter it is quite cold in the morning and night as there is no central heating indoors, during the day the sun shines most of the time, temp is mild and cool.

  • Thank you very much. I'd rather hear it fro someone who has experienced it.

    Thank you

    Nikolai

  • midnightassassin13,

great that you are going to visit pretoria.

    DON'T take the bus

    (ex-pretorian)

  • does only the U.S. drive on the right side of the road? watching on the left fuckz me up lol...

  • No most of Europe and teh middle east too....dont ask me why?

  • Kaffir land!! Kort 'n paar groot bomme dan kan ons wittes weer leef!!

  • Thanks for the video. It's nice to see so many interest in the city. I live in Waverley.

  • HAhAHaha Those roads are to familiar! And that traffic in the city! The best way to explore PTA is through the busses!

The first song was Dido's Here with Me.. i think.

  • I lived in Pretoira 10 years ago, but streets look still the same! Thanks.

  • Pretoria a beautiful city

  • chudove misto! a beautiful city!

  • I had said SA is getting worse, i am not saying a specific city, simply in general, it is no where near to what it was many years ago.

  • Thank you for making this, my daughter is there for 6 months and it gives me a nice perspective of where she is to a certain degree

  • I am a South African living in the UK for over 10 years now. I really do miss South Africa. Despite all the problems - I miss those trees and the warmth and the good times I had. Pretoria was a good place to live.

  • what happent to it?

  • Love it ,it is so nice to see the Jacarandas

  • Ahh! Pretoria, lovely place! Live in Melbourne now, along with half of Pretoria! :D

  • I really didn't want a whole discussion on racism on this post and am going to delete the racial comments. This video was about my time in South Africa which I very much enjoyed and consider the Country to be my second home. Any more racial abuse towards either blacksa or whites and they will be deleted.

  • @romarni Thanks for reflecting my home city without bias or prejudice.

  • A positive video about the Rainbow Nation. Finally!

  • I'm a middle-income white... living in Pretoria in luxury that only the richest in Europe and the US can afford, with medical care for my handicapped kid as good as you can get anywhere in the world... and a house and a garden with bird life, trees, and a climate that you see on holiday post cards... and I've been in MANY "1st world" countries... we ARE living in paradise!

I think us South Africans should start counting our blessings, even WITH the frustrations of crime, etc.

  • @YunnydP What country are you from originally?

  • Thanks for the memories...have been gone 12 yrs, was lovely to watch, so sad the way the country is going to hell in a hand basket. Thank you again.

  • I agree with you very much.

  • Why do you say it is getting worse , do you specifically mean the area of Pretoria?

  • Very nice video, I really loved to watch. I use to live in Pretoria, about 21 years ago and miss that jacaranda city. Church Street looks very different now, Thank for the view,

  • Good to see all this familiar streets again also Gezina if not wrong..thats a brilliant video.

  • I rode on that very "Moregloed" bus every day to work. Used to live in Villieria and Rietfontein. It still looks soooo familiar!!

  • Dear Romarni,

In 1999 i worked as an intern at pretoria west hospital. Do you got any film of danville and the hospital? You would make me very very happy with it.

  • Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I never visited Danville or the hospital. How long was you in SA for and when?

  • No problem,

Lived in pretoria from 99 till late 2000. Came back a couple of times during the last years. Worked in 2005 in Mamalodi for half a year. So when I see images from the jacaranda city my hart beats like a hell

  • Thank you, brought back all those memories that are irreplacable. Do miss South Africa.

  • Thank you for the memories.I was born and raised in Pretoria.Left there a few years and have not been back.Watching your video felt like I was sitting right there.I lived in Sinoville and I travelled Voortrekker Weg often.Tears welled up in my eyes.
