The loading may seems bad. I presume that you download the content once then after that it will not have to download it will just have to load. That will make the experince much faster. In the final realease if they are smart they will give you an option to download all new areas and updates of the areas before you even enter the world. That way you will only see loading screens. Loading is not download. Loading just gets data to the screen, while download is putting in a storage device.

new areas are slow because needs a download, after this, the load is more fast, because only need to download information about the area, like players.

i think the videos of home it's all on stremming.

if you look in home, have lot's of videos, downloading all you will fully your HDD in minutes

The only reason why that one load was so long was because it wass the first time he went there so his ps3 had to download it (it seem like the area was 27mb's in size) and also load it.
