whys it matter what tool bar you use? i like the new skiny one to be honest... gives more room... and so what if its like quack, what ever ppl feel more used to is the best for the persons, adobe is cleaver to copie qlarck to make the users feel more homely like a mothers
I really want to know, why use indesign at all? It seems (cause I haven't use it, but I am just about to) to be a half-assed effort between photoshop and illustrator. Correct me if I am wrong...
you are wrong. InDesign is like all the other Adobe titles designed to serve a particular purpose. Photoshop: photo editing, Illustrator: illustrating, Flash: animation, etc. ... and InDesign: layout. You simply can't (or it's very very hard to) do decent typography and page layout in PS or Ai. HTH
You sure are wrong! Why use Indesign???!!!! If you use a font in photoshop it comes out as a bitmap! Bottom line, use photoshop for bitmap based (this includes jpegs and tifs and any other 'pixel' based artwork), use illustrator for vectors, then assemble it all in Indesign.
I suppose it depends on what sort of quality you are after. Pardon my ignorance above, but before I started I did not realise that indesign was vector based.
@uberloudstix1 you could, but if you have a only 1 page document such as a poster, that requires lots of dynamic and advanced graphics with special effects etc, then i would be better to use in photoshop, ID is ment for more simple multiple page layouts with lots of text and repetitive mutiple pages, think

your right, after using it I understand now.
..and photoshop can be used for SO much more than photo editing. The number of painting I have done in it are mad.
