I'm 36 years old, and I've never been this good at anything. I feel so inferior watching this because God blessed this young man with a gift (and a really cool one at that). I suppose it makes no sense to compare one's self to a prodigy, much like it isn't fair to compare one's self to Mozart or a young science and math wiz who scores 1600 on his/her SATs, graduates from Harvard with a 4.0, and lands a gig as an engineer with NASA; it just isn't reasonable.
No doubt, "Joey" DID go far!!! What a talent, what a humble little "man," nothing has changed about Joe after all these years except that he just keeps getting mo' better! We went to London to see Joe perform at the Royal Albert Hall on 5-4-09 (from Seattle, WA) and he blew us all away! Bad Kitty

Joe has done great. I was lucky enough to see him with B.B. King back then. The next 12 year old guitarist is Quinn Sullivan, touring with Buddy Guy now.
Sweet Jesus! This defies belief at 12 years old. Great footage of a guitar legend-to-be, thanks for posting. "Young Joey Bonamassa" just blew my mind, lol.
This was recorded (on VHS of course) in Syracuse sometime in 1989. I used to see Joe when he played in the Central New York area at Copperfield's and in Sylvan Beach. Now I see him playing with Clapton , BB King & Lee Ritenour!

Spend the first half of the video shredding.
Complain about kids your age playing too much metal.

No doubt, Joe will go far. Greetings from Holland, Heerhugowaard, where Joe played a few years ago in De Waerdse Tempel. Since then I follow him.

Amazing. I knew he was good at 12 but not this good. He for sure has a gift. Normal 12 year olds don't play that well.
