yeah which is basically split up because they're no where near what they used to be. I miss the old cottars. I am not a fan of the replacements because I was watching a part of a show someone had recorded and the new fiddler was doing the same "moves" as roseanne when she was playing, like the same jumps and extra enthusiam at some parts in the tunes. They're just not the same or even the same age anymore. but I will be looking for more music from Roseanne and Jimmy.
Yes, i agree, i have seen them live twice since they got the 2 new musicians, its DEFINITLY not the same band, Which is unfortunate because i loved them very much. Now i hang on to my 3 CDs of them like gold. lol. there will never be a better celtic band...
They're not exactly splitting up - Fiona and Ciaran are forming a new band with two other musicians to replace Jimmy and Roseanne. Roseanne and Jimmy, by the by, have more talent in their little fingers than the entire MacGillivray family.

I love Fiona's voice and I love each of them equally because the all have REAL talent and I was SO sad when i heard the were breaking apart:(
I hope they all continue making good music but I will always keep their old songs because they are the best!

I love the cottars! too bad they're splitting up. they are awesome as a group but i'm sure they'll do fine on their own.
