Accidents like this are caused by one thing, neglected maintenance and replacement parts. WHat you need to remember is alot of people couldn't give a dam about the consequences of neglected maintenance. Money is the most important thing to them. I am actually quite disturned to see how money comes before safety

After the HSE attended, the ride was taken down by the owners not HSE! and btw it is not an electric saw you dummy! i have maintained rides for many years at top parks around the country including fun fairs... these rides have to be safe or they cannot operate... the rides are checked just like your car MOT. if you drive your car out of a garage after passing a MOT would you start saying your car is unsafe? accidents happen...

omg. i went on tht 4 days before it happend and when i came back, i was told the news about the ride and i had never bin so terrafied in my life.

@THESKULL1979 My stepdaughter was on that ride mate, right at the bottom. she could have been crushed to death and let me assure you she is nowhere near 20 stone. Have some respect for the children and young adults that were also stranded and also nowhere near either 15 or 20 stone. If any person were anywhere near your 'predicted average weight' they would not have been able to ride as the restraints would not have closed safely over them, I saw staff turn some people away because of this.
