It's not that this is bad, because the dancing is great, but I don't think the director understood the point of this show. There was no transition from "God, I really blew it" to "God, I think I got it." People are supposed to be cut in this number. It seems like the director was too focused on making a big showy performance with lights and great dancing and completely forgot about the show's theme of desperation and putting yourself out there.
