However, one of the exceptions is music - so much better than what is being produced today.

But I agree that the energy of 60's and 70's music remains a phenomenon. I guess all the "free-spirited talk", if we reduce it to only that, created a priceless platform for musical freedom and openmindedness. I was born in 1970's but this looks nuts...I wouldn't hang with people like this...looks like a cult. or trailor trash..gross. @RZombie92 The media was telling people how to act/look back then too. War now and war then (Vietnam)....we tend to think the past was brighter/easier than the times we live in. I tend to do that too - then I have to remind myself of the old saying "the more things change the more they stay the same". However, one of the exceptions is music - so much better than what is being produced today.

very intelligent comment. About the music..my hypothesis would be that even back in the days a lot of crap was recorded, but just all the good stuff survived. But I agree that the energy of 60's and 70's music remains a phenomenon. I guess all the "free-spirited talk", if we reduce it to only that, created a priceless platform for musical freedom and openmindedness. Fortunalety we don't have to remember all the "look-and-sound-alike-bands" from back then.

This video is excellant! Capturing the nuns, the naked little kids & the skinny dippers on surf board. Everyone came together back then with no problems. Imagine if that were today. The mud sliders & tearing down the fence. Great footage man.

Yeah, they TRIED to recreate Woodstock, but it ended in disaster when people rioted and burned the stage and raped women. People now a days don't know how to get along like they did back then. It's a shame.

The kids born in the 90's have it the worst, we were to young to really enjoy the last of good music (90's grunge and punk music) and too young to ever experience the best music (60's).
Every other generation had something
60's had the peace movement
70's had disco
80's big hair bands
90's undgerground
