Also, if you see how big her property is, not only do they have a huge house but a giant yard with a temple for the ancestors and they own a noble breed of horse (Kahn) it might not seem like rich for our standards but in China this is considered nobility.
Where did my childhood go? I remember I was 10 years old when this movie came out. I thought the world was magic just like Disney. Now I'm in living in society where humanity and morals are fading fast. I will pass these movies on to my kids some day so they can know that magic does exist at least for awhile<3

Ah, so many a times have I fantasised about me being Mulan...when I was little, I would literally dress up in make-up to the point of getting a face-rash, just so i could wash it off while singing this song. When my father told me recently that women who join the army are prohibited from fighting on the battlefield because of stupid reasons, I went up to my room, watched "Mulan" just like when I was younger, and literally cried.

I agree with bettyboop3932003! The old Disney Classics such as Mulan was not only enjoyable to watch but taught moral lessons such as to believe in yourself and like the story of Mulan to go beyond all odds and prove to the world who you truly are but Disney has changed so much with Hannah Montanna and Jonas on almost all the time and these shows are nice to watch but they lack the Disney 'trademark'. They can be easily passed off for Nickelodeon or any other channel's show! This is my opinion!

BTW im not coldhearted The director for a musical of Sound of Music said I should sing a Ballad from disney all the other disney classics are way to high pitched for me so my mom showed this to me and I am memorizing this song also I dressed up as mulan when i was about 6 or 7 years old Im so proud I did that :}

Ah, so many a times have I fantasised about me being Mulan...when I was little, I would literally dress up in make-up to the point of getting a face-rash, just so i could wash it off while singing this song. When my father told me recently that women who join the army are prohibited from fighting on the battlefield because of stupid reasons, I went up to my room, watched "Mulan" just like when I was younger, and literally cried.

@MsWerewolfie I think every true Disney fan does. I wished they still played the old movies like this one. Lucky for me though I have almost every single original Disney movie and I can watch Mulan 1 and 2 whenever I want but still Disney has changed soooo much which is why I dont watch in anymore

Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, and Hanna Montana are all just horrific... I don't like them AT ALL, and so with that being said, Disney will never let the classics die out! :D This is honestly one of my favoutire songs from disney that we HAVEN'T PLAYED IN BAND YET... Our band director ROCKS!! We get to vote on the music we want to play and even bring some in to sightread, and a bunch of it is Disney awesomeness such as a Lion King montage and stuff x3

I agree with bettyboop3932003! The old Disney Classics such as Mulan was not only enjoyable to watch but taught moral lessons such as to believe in yourself and like the story of Mulan to go beyond all odds and prove to the world who you truly are but Disney has changed so much with Hannah Montanna and Jonas on almost all the time and these shows are nice to watch but they lack the Disney 'trademark'. They can be easily passed off for Nickelodeon or any other channel's show! This is my opinion!

When will our reflections show who we are inside? We all don't know who we are at times. Nowadays, I don't even know myself. So I'm kinda in the same boat as Mulan.
Except for the "not good enough" part, since I'm close to my friends and family.

I can really identify to this song, and who doesn't? We all have these moments when we feel not good enough and that we will never be good enough for your parents/family/friends etc. I love this song, and the movie :)
