Really? Fighting over a song? I'm just sitting here and enjoying a version created by a group who recorded the song before Santana. They're ALL great! Peter Green is a great musician. Carlos Santana is a great musician. Someone had to write/discover/record the song first, right? If its particularly great, other people are inspired to create their own version. Unfortunately assholes who probably can't play an instrument worth shit have to improve their image by insulting great musicians. Enough!!

Only the greatest perform at their best on stage, fortunatly for Peter it didnt matter where he played :P.. This version of the song showcases Green's and Danny's amazing "Telepathic" ability.. in the sense that they could always pick up on one another like they shared the same mind and feelings. Stunning to say the least, but just like the old saying " only the good die young' in this case it was peter and dannys mental and spiritual state :(

Fleetwood Mac was formed by Mike Fleetwood and John McVie. IN the 60's they changed the 'band' often. Remember they sacked Peter Green... Even Stevie Nicks had Christine Perfect in harmonies....In terms of 'Fleetwood Mac' as a band 'Dreams' was their best album by a long way

@RobinAre3 In the 60's they made one change to the lineup, the addition of Danny Kirwan. Peter Green left, he was not sacked. Never heard of an album called "Dreams" only the single. Have you not listened to the album "Then Play On" which pioneered twin lead guitar playing?. In '69 then became mega, out selling the Beatles and Rollimg Stones combined.

@johnhors I saw Fleetwood Mac play live probably 10 - 15 times between 1967-68. There line up often altered because of the state of Peter Green who is a diagnosed schizophrenic. You may believe he 'left' and wasn't sacked but Mike Fleetwood and John McVie, who formed the band entitling it with a combination of their names, were fed up with it. Fleetwood and McVie resurrected the band with ex chicken shack, Christine Perfect, in LA and then they made not 'Dreams', but 'Rumours"!

Taken from Boston Tea Party live (1970) - the most incredible example of blues guitar playing with Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer playing lead at various times, backed up by the solid John McVey and Mick Fleetwood on bass and percussion. Brilliant sound quality with unbelievable 'feel' to the guitar playing - simply one of the best live, blues recordings you'll ever hear. Buy the album, you won't regret it.

I love the 2 styles, honnestly but they're so different, I think the reason the name stayed the same is because of the presence of Mick and Jhon, who were parts of the froup from the beginning! I also think they decided to keep the name so they would have more fans with their 1st album with Lindsay and Stevie. Sorry if there're some mistakes in these sentences,I'm from Belgium.

When I was 18, I forgot they existed untill I heard"skies the limit" on the radio, I bhought the album(without Lindsey), then the "best of" and a few years ago, I was in the library, I took all the fleetwood mac albums they had, I realized they weren't just a great rock band but also a fantastic blues band, I thought Clapton was the only one, I was so wrong! I know times are reflected in music, art, etc.; I just wish the name hadn't carried over into the genre that left behind an era of a totally different culture. I have always been a HUGE fan of the later Nicks/Buckingham era of Fleetwood Mac. Having been been born in '71 they were the only ones I had ever known. Until very recently when I read an actual FULL bio on the group published at Wikipedia, which then led me to the Great Peter Green. He can makes a guitar talk much like BB does Lucille. Thanks for posting a terrific quality song. It made my day!
