I noticed Diddy collects 3 bananas during his fall, what if he loses all his lives, falls and touches the bananas with 98 or 99 already collected? Will he get another life???????????
I did this one too, like 2 or 3 years ago (I did it on purpose, jeje) I just wanted to hear the rest of the death song becasue everytime I died I noticed it didn't end that fast, so I gave it a try. I also did it in the beehive level where King Zing chases Rambi.
What sucks is that bananas are ONLY things you can collect while dying, you can't even collect banana BUNCHES! But, what would've been cool is that you can control the Diddy or Dixie while falling or maybe even going in barrels while falling! :P
unfortunately whatever the death or ending music etc,, they normaly don,t run completely,it depends on the situation this duo the short scenes from one to the next level etc,,
This level is running on my SNES right at this very moment and I hear the adictive sound - when I was a kid, I recorded my own donkey kong country-soundtracks on a cassette recorder and took it with me everywhere :)
LOL If I can find the spot in Slime Climb I'll post a video response to this one when I was a kid at 11,12 years old those long falls kept me laughing.
Videos of this sort are an artform. A fall longer than the death chime is worth watching, even though you can do it yourself easily. Still, fun to watch.

I always hated when this happened, precisly in this level, I just landed next to a DK barrel and I wanted to grab it!!! But I couldn't.
But what I liked it's that the death music stops and you can hear the sound effects from them, like here's Diddy's confused stars.
