@Westcoasttony here is that link for MAD Magazine Dufo: dang YouTube won't allow posting of links anymore - look up Wally Cox on Wikipedia there is link within article
I remember seeing him do this on Ed Sullivan - great bit! Also, recall him singing a song called, "George Fink." "George Fink, lived with his mother and sold washing machines... One night he came home tired from his job at the washing machine company - he went into the kitchen and cleaned it up a little bit - and made himself an American Cheese sandwich." That's how it began and ended - there was a little bit more in the middle - but not much - can't really recall it. Anyone else remember?
"What A Crazy Guy" reached #27 on the hit parade May 9, 1953. The other side of this single, "There Is A Tavern In The Town," also charted, reaching #24. It was Cox's only successful single.
Cool, thanks for the info! I got it off an LP, and I had wondered if the other side was a different comedy routine. I like your "Tavern" post, have already saved it. Wally rules!
This was adapted in an early issue of MAD Magazine, with drawings by the wonderful George Woodbridge.
