@callycat23 So Right! I believe when talking MUSIC, the aural is ALL that matters. Pop Entertainment is it's own animal and as long as someone possesses the 'Look' of the day and perfunctory ability to communicate an emotion, some exec will position them to maximize profit. Art and profit can coexist so long as one doesn't enter the other's domain....
I don't think Dumbles are amps for idiots: Everyone I've heard talking about their Dumble speak of it like they are in 'The Program' and must follow 'The Curriculum'
@wsalviso I don't think so. If I were able to parlay my playing into a career that paid me well, I see nothing at all wrong with having the best tools at one's disposal one can afford. I believe one of the reasons Mr. Dumble keeps his equipment close to the vest and expensive is so seasoned PLAYERS (for the most part) have a place to get a Tone tailored to their specific needs. I happen to think Dumble got it right. He's not sold out and he makes a living at CREATING! Wish I knew how to!
Thanks for posting this. I specifically searched for it because it was the first I'd seen him and a few months later someone played TTYD for me and I put the two together-like,"Oh yeah, I saw this guy on Carson!'. Cool, thanks again.
he sounds a bit steve miller vocally ...just a bit.
