I've downloaded the files in October 14, 2008 update, but it seems that the February 1, 2009 pack is just both files combined in a better package.
As for the mission packs, I believe q2e supports them, but I haven't tried that. Either try it yourself or if you really don't want to download the big package if you're unsure if it works, maybe I could try that for you...
Lol in my game the character isn't a girl (it has the sounds from quake 1, but I don't really care)

It kind of makes sense a girl would do a sped run through the whole storgg locations. but i was like o.o
when i saw how fast you can actually do the levels !
btw what do you need to make this game that pretty ? with the blur and hi-res models ?

... hmm yeah. well i've also read you have to install the newest patch 3.20 i've downloaded it. Lets hope i installed it the right way.
But, could you please try to find out if it works with mission packs? my internet is sooooo slow :(
just only do it when you're like really bored or something :P

well, I copied the files over fully installed and patched Quake 2 of course...
right now I'm playing Doom 3 but I've got only about two levels ahead of me, so I'll try q2e with missionpacks afterwards, ok?

k, thanks.... i just read it. And i've been looking around, but there are sooo many versions of this quake 2 evolved thing.
I just want to have the right version, and it has to work with the mission packs too.
