Damn man fantastic montage. Pumped about seeing Warrior today. Still so many I need to see. Love the music in this video, Sigur Ros perhaps? Sounds like 'em. 2011 was a great year for film indeed.
@FilmRecall JUST finished Warrior. Woah. I loved the cast. Joel Edgerton was a pleasant surprise and the film portrayed such great display of humanity through a sport like UFC. I think Nick Nolte deserved a nomination at least. Loved how the Principal was cheering for the guy LOL for sure.
@TheBSKILL lol the principal was awesome. I liked that the film really made me want to root for both characters. They both had good reasons for winning and by the end of it I had no clue who to root for. I rooted for Joel Edgerton's character, but I wanted Tom Hardy to win too. I'm hoping Nolte will get the nomination at the Oscars. The fight scenes were so intense at times too. I'm glad they let the drama fuel the fights because they actually meant something in this film.
Great Tribute man, my list is quite different but it's all opinions. Also did you ever see the film Take Shelter that came out this year? If not I definately recommend you check it out hopefully you like it as much as I did. It comes out of dvd on the 14th of Feburary if your interested.
Great video, man! I still need to see many of these, such as 50/50, We Bought a Zoo, The Descendants, Hugo, The Muppets, Drive, Tintin, etc. However, there's not one movie I saw this year that I didn't like, and my favorites are Missio Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Deathly Hallows Part 2, Rise of the Apes, Winnie the Pooh, The Help, and Super 8 (I didn't love it as much a some but I need to watch it again). But it seems like there were a lot of really good movies this year!
@CinematicGalaxy I still need to see Winnie the Pooh. I highly, highly recommend you see The Descendants. I just saw it again today and it was just as great a second time.
Very nice dude! I still gotta see The Artist and Midnight in Paris(which I'm watching tonight). Hey what is that film in the beginning? Where the dude has something on his back and those black things are like behind him?
@puckbond007 It's called Attack the Block. I think you would love that movie. It's an awesome "alien invasion" movie that has "Goonies" vibe. It's definitely one of the cooler movies of the year and it's just hilarious. Great soundtrack too and has a lot of cool action scenes. I highly recommend it. Check out the trailer and you'll be hooked!
great list/tribute! how did you have "a real hero" from drive and not have copyright issues?? when i used that song for a video my video was banned from youtube!
Perhaps name the movies instead of just showing clips from them, pretty stupid if you ask me.

@FroztiezIsAwesome But the whole point of a movie tribute is to show the clips. I did name the titles, just check the description box.

what's the song?
moovieman222 1 month ago
@moovieman222 the first song is "A Real Hero" from College. The second song is "Gathering Stories" from Jonsi. It's the theme from "We Bought a Zoo."
