  • whats your settings?

  • 7 people use Mark V

  • i bow to your awesomeness!!!

  • Someone offered me a Triple Rec for my 6505+... should I do it?

  • Comment removed

  • @AnthonyPudduMusic WELL FUCK YES!!!! the trip rec SLAYS compared to the 6505+ and it has waaaaay better cleans .. and im not a mesa fanboy .. DO IIIT! greeting from the eskimo!

  • @AnthonyPudduMusic I would, you would be getting a heck of a deal. I just got a triple rec 2 weeks ago. Like it much better then the 6505+ I was using.

  • @AnthonyPudduMusic haha what a fool .. i hope you took them up on the offer !

    peavey sucks balls !

  • I watch this video very much:)

  • what genre is this? Sounds like Thrash Metal... a bit

  • could you please tell me your settings for your dual rec :P

  • I hope you get to try a Royal Atlantic or something one time. Well, almost anything Mesa is badass, anyway!

  • How many overdubs are in this track?

  • what tubes do you use?

  • you tied tjr dual roadking ii?

  • dual or triple. whitch one do you prefer?

  • listening to this through mackie monitors = raging erection

  • @IxImetal4lifeIxI Hey i have Mackie monitors too :)

  • this or a music man jpx 7? i am using a 333xl atm so what do i get?

  • @smaragdboa the music man. there isnt sooo much difference in sound quality between recto and 333xl. and music man makes some of the best guitars ever. but get the BFR if you can, not the jpx.

  • @givemeajackson ok thx man :)

  • @smaragdboa no problem. friend of mine has 3 musicmans, he's absolutely addicted to them :D (betrucci bfr, steve morse, steve morse Y2D) and i owned a 333xl for a short while. i honestly liked it better than any dual recto i ever played.

  • for me a mix of kerry king and mick tompson

  • sound really amazing.... what ' pickups use in ibanez of the video?

  • Damn, that sound and song are just fantastic.

  • Great playing man!

Could you please tell me the way to use the maxon in front of the mesa to get this compact powerful sound? Thank you!

  • no orgasmic experiance with slow internet :(

  • 3 people use line 6 amplifiers

  • have you noticed that you always usually have 3 dislikes on your videos? probably the same 3 lame people!

  • I'm kinda waiting for the cheap ass Bugera version to come out so I can see how they compare. It comes with a power attenuator, so that's nice.

  • raw guitars only please!!

  • If you found a Triple Rec for $1100 it was a used one. Mesa has fixed pricing on their amps. But its still a Mesa. I'm getting mine this week (used). it was either that or a Peavey XXX (an amp w/ massive gain and no tone).

  • What cab(s) are you using?

  • Comment removed

  • the three people who disliked this video obviously lost their hearing and destroyed their computer monitored by watching this video. that's why i used headphones on 1080p.

  • You sir, rock.

  • u r the best in this business bro..!!keep it up!!

  • hey is it a problem when you're triple rectifier dosen't have enough gain for legato or is it just that i have weak hands? also the tone on my triple rectifier sounds nothing like yours, how do i get that tone? thank you

  • Hi! First at all, your videos are awesome! I have a question:

You use a 2x12 Roadster, is better than a Roadking or a Rectifier cabinet?

    Thank you!

  • we play death metal, tuned to B... Which amp would you recommend Mesa Dual Rectifier or Peavey 6505? It sounds like the Peavey has more raw power? WHat you reckon?

  • JUST 2 CHANNEL?

  • Tabs?

  • real nice playin..

  • defently need to try a Rivera Knucklehead ii ones of these days!

  • I love the last 13 tags

  • Did you use compressor?

  • your channel is the best!

  • should i just buy this amp or take some guitar lessons first?

  • Hi Ola

Can you please do a demo on the gus g fire blackouts?

    Thanks Mat

  • Can you get that kind of tone with the mark V? I don't know which amp to buy anymore, Mark V or rectifier.

  • not gonna lie.....

thought the title said "Epic meal time"

  • @optimystic9 how many videos are you gonna post that on? haha

  • looks like C standard tuning

  • una pregunta, que cancion es la que tocás? gracias

  • Just a curious question, what strings do you use?

  • Feared kinda sounds like a better hatebreed.

  • What is your favorite mesa amp?

  • @xMETALLICAROCKERx at the moment Mark V

  • @fearedse have ever tried a mark III? id be interested to see the sound you get out of one

  • Im lookin to get one of these next year, sweet video helped allot I subbed to ya.

  • how does this compare to the dual rectifier? i have a dual, but im looking to get a triple and im wondering if it is worth the extra 100 bucks to go triple instead of another dual.

  • @xlMetallicalx15 If the triple is a two channel and your dual is a three chanel Id get the triple. BUT If they are both 3 channels then you should just stick with the dual, the only time your going to need the triple is if your band is playing big venues or Wembley Stadium, and their isn't really a difference in tone, I a/b'ed them. Hope that helps!

  • oooo tasty main riff

  • gotta love old 2 channel rectifiers... HUGE tone

  • great song!! great riff, great sound!!!!!! metallllllll

    argentina is metal

  • dude sorry, but wtf is a hotplate?

  • @AChozenSunn it attenuates the power so you can crank the volume on the amp and not go deaf/piss off your neighbors

  • That solo was wicked!

  • too many amps, same tone :(

  • @fearedse YOU FUCKING KICK ASS...!!!!

You dont play metal music.. you're playin MERCURY.. HEAVIEST OF ALL FUCKING METAL...!!!!!!!! :-D

  • @rohanclassic Mercury is not the heaviest metal. The heaviest naturally occurring metal is plutonium. There are other heavier metals that have been synthesized in labs, but I'm not sure what they are. I don't have a periodic table handy...

  • @tenhundredkills Someone on youtube told me Tungsten is heaviest metal.. :(

  • @rohanclassic They told you wrong. Sorry :(

  • @rohanclassic People suck like that.

  • @tenhundredkills Osmium is the most dense metal, hence the heaviest for it's volume. Molar mass does not correlate to mass in grams... and the periodic table tells you only the molar masses.

Who gives a shit though? I love Ola's playing and I might get a new amp soon. love his videos.

  • @fender132435 I was talking about atomic weight, not density, not that I really care. Just saying.

Also, Ola is an amazing player. His Feared album was spectacular!

  • Hey man! I see you have played through probably almost any imaginable badass amp, your videos are needless to say great and bring out characteristics of all those different amps. So I see there's at least one real badass amp you haven't reviewed already, that is bogner uberschall. So if you get chance crossing with such amp, I would really like to see you make vid of it ;) Thanks mate!

  • Yessir, was lookin for some demo's on dual recs, came across your videos, and needless to say all very good. Ill check out the facebook page in a minute, but quick Q, you think 1100 is a good used price for a mesa dual rec, from a local shop that i trust far as its condition...or is that more like ballpark.

  • @JMetal98 thanks brother, I'm not the right one to ask if it's a good price or not in the us. I can only speak for the price in europe :/

  • @JMetal98 if your in america thats ballpark anywhere from 900-1400 is reasonable for dual recs

  • @JMetal98 1100 is a good used price. I've seen them as low as 1000 but never lower than that, and if its local then you don't have to pay shipping, so its a pretty good price!

  • @JMetal98 As a U.S. guitarist, I can only say one thing-It all depends. In great condition for a two channel head jump on it. For a three, its not bad but there are better deals-you could talk them to 1000. The dual channel has a bit more oomph than the 3 channel on the high gain channel, but the cleans aren't as nice. It all really depends on what you're looking for. Sorry for not being a major help

  • @Blickle71 Went with a 5150 2X12 combo. Right now I just decided I didnt wanna spend that much, hopefully next summer I will re-consider the idea, and have both, be a fun combo of amps to have. Likin the 5150 so far. Had a 5150 head once, pretty sure it was messed up cuz it didnt sound as good as this one, lol.

  • @JMetal98 most used dual recs will be about that price, between 1100 and 1200 dollars

  • @JMetal98 - I know guitar center has a few of them used for 1100-1200. I bought a used triple a few months ago and spent like 1400 for it. But just remember with it being used you have no idea when the tubes need to be changed. I changed all the recto/pre amps just to be safe. That was another $150 direct from mesa.

  • @JMetal98 in europe that would be a steal!

  • @givemeajackson

Yea i may still get a mesa eventually, went kinda back and forth on amps for a while, and ultimately I just decided for what im currently doing i dont wanna spend 1200-1500 at minimum. Far as amps, was looking at the mesa's, but also some various ENGL models. I really love ENGLs but again, some other bills in the fold to go out and buy an amp for that price at the moment. In time.

  • Btw jackson, I too have a jackson, i love jacksons..lol...i had an ESP at one time, it was ok too, just more of a thin neck fan personally. Really wanna get another guitar to set them up a lil diff, but not a pressing issue at the moment.

  • @JMetal98 i'll probably get a schecter, i'm impressed by the value/price. but the new jackson x series seem to be sexy as hell too!

  • @JMetal98 YES!!! Over here in aus they are around 3000....

  • @JMetal98 i have a dual rec that i got used for $900 and its amazing, and my friend got a used triple rec for $1200, try out the amp at the store first, but that price seems good

  • @JMetal98 YES!!!!

NEW THEY ARE AROUND 1500 BUCKS...

    GET IT!!!!

  • @JMetal98 900-1000 is the usual price. I haven't seen a used one go more than 1200.

  • Comment removed

  • @JMetal98 i live in florida, i went to sam ash i think it was, and saw a dual rec go for 1100 brand new man, id keep looking for a better deal but if you want it get it.

  • @Treythemusician

You wont find them for $1,100 USD new. If you do, you're really lucky. The retail is around $1700.

  • @425V8 damn really? i guess i was really lucky then.

  • @JMetal98 That's a pretty decent price, but I'd call it ballpark. I've seen them go anywhere from $1500 to $650 in good shape.

  • Comment removed

  • I bought your album, and it's excellent.

  • Haha, du har min drömsetup praktiskt taget!

Sitter själv på en mtm2, riktigt skön gitarr! :D

  • mtm2 are not expensive guitar. do you have original pick ups on them?

  • Hi dude, about half a year ago i commented something like "lol satanic shit" or smthing to your video.. and im now gonna take it back since my music taste has changed alot.. you kick ass :P

  • Just one question. How do you keep your guitar so clean? :)

  • Plz can you help me with one thing how can boost the mesa boogie amp with one overdive pedal? and how used this?

  • this is kicking. fucking love this fucking channel

  • I've got to try a fair number of good high-gain amps, even some of the ones you've already demoed (except the soldano, diezel, DARs Fortin, Koch and Modena of course) and personally, i just LOVE the growl and midrange of the Mesa MArk series. Mesa rules!!

  • About a week ago I had no idea who you were Ola, but i've seen your reviews and looked up Feared, and lemme tell ya, YOU KICK ASS BRO

  • @thisguysaccount95 Like there is something to look up haha thanks bro!

  • my most favorate amp of all times

  • can you tell me the settings you have your maxon on? are you using it as a boost?

  • This sounded absolutely boss. NIce!!

  • Nice, the distortion is godly.

  • What caps are you using ?

  • Hi Ola, your solo is really cool!

When a video with a Mesa Triple Rectifier in EL34 mode?

  • thumbs up if you jizzed like me at 2:36

  • Comment removed

  • Hey dude what amp would you reccomend?

  • Were there any distortion pedals used with the Mesa Boogie amp?

  • @robert13camus just the Maxon od808 overdrive!

  • @fearedse Such a killer tone! I have been struggling for weeks now with my Triple Rectifier.

  • WOW... all those amps are yours???... I´m about finish the building of a custom made solid state guitar amp. It would be awesome to have a review from you. yeah! Would you like to listen to my band´s music?.. we are from Chiapas, México. Destroyallperfection

  • that solo.... was beautiful.

  • Hey man. Question: Do you use use drum software?

  • @Micah9335 i know you were asking him and not me but yes he does, he uses superior drummer 2.0

  • @guitarsbunch347 Thanks man. I got an answer, thats all that matters

  • haha i had hd and the computer was glitching and awesome riffs were shooting out the speakers and then i start seeing the dude playing it was pretty awesome

  • good song!

  • Stole my fuckin' guitar! :D

  • 2:43, that is badass

  • why do you use the OD 808 and not the OD9?

  • Head-banging like HELLLLLL!!!!!!

    2:43

  • Dude, what are the Triple Rectifier amplifier settings?!?!?! I really would love to know.

  • the amp sounds great in this video maybe its a better recording amp than it is live. ive played rectos many times and its just so muddy low end and fizzy distortion. i cant understand why everyone has one

  • Won't damage the cabnet using a 150w amp in a 120w cab? if I mistaken, i'm sorry =)

  • Seriously, masterful guitar work.

  • soo, what amp suits you best?

  • great looking and sounding video!

  • wow that solo is epic!

  • Nice video, well played, great tone!

My Mesa Triple Rec is for sale. $1200.

    /watch?v=T-NbkxgkJzU

  • @MrDarinWarren in france it cost 3000 euro...

  • Grannnnn puutaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......( Holy Fucking Cow )

  • Awesome !! Did you add any effects for the solo part ?

  • i hate this amp and the sound (only my opinion)... okay you play it and it sounds great.. what's your secret :D?

  • Great mix. Bass is a tad too loud i think. Covering the spectrum where the bass drum should be.

  • Ok, this is unrelated....But Ola, your jeans are pretty badass here, haha

  • mind sharing with me your settings?

i just got my mesa 2 channel yesterday and i'm so lost. i have such a great amp and can't get a good sound :( your help would be greatly appreciated. I also play an ibanez 7 string, feel free to email me also. Riccoxtbs@yahoo.com thanks again. hope to hear from you soon.

  • @63463489070891306137 The recto.

  • I have probably asked this a million times (cant really remember), but are the pickups in the MTM2 stock, or did you replace them (and if that's the case, which ones?)

  • after watching this guys vids for over a year now, i think is playing is starting to rub off on me :o

  • @pivetlord13 Haha me too.

  • is there wah on the solo?

  • beginning sounds kinda like st anger from Metallica in the way it grooves lol great song keep it coming!

  • Haven't heard a decent solo in years. Very nice, very creative.

  • @SDJrekoff thanks man!

  • @fearedse salute.

  • @fearedse I'm not a man, i'm a BOOOOOYYYY!!!!!!! ha!

  • Jeez, that thing takes 14 valves!!

You can buy a cheap head just with the valve money xDD

    Gret tone, rock on |m|

  • which is better the Triple Rectifier or the peavey 6505? please help me

  • @TheMetalhead804 Well since nobody else is nice enough to give some advice id go with the 6505 man mesas sound fuzzy and they are overrated

  • How low do you have your guitar tuned? This sounds exactly like contra shattered soldier.

  • is that the Mick Thompson Model? How much was the head & cabinet 2gether?

  • Love the tags!

  • @fearedse

Hey Ola I have a question for you.Are there any heareable diffrences between dual and triple rectifirer.Cause I read somewhere that Triple has tighter sound .What's your opinion about that?

  • @PossesedbyBlackMetal IMO I don't think that one is tighter than the other. I've never bothered to much about which version of the dual rectifier to get. They're all GREAT!

  • @fearedse im a pretty new musician so im out on the market for a mesa which do prefer a dual or triple recto?

  • @PossesedbyBlackMetal I know I'm a couple moonths late and you might not care to hear my opinion but the only difference between the Triple and Dual Rectifiers is 50 watts. the Dual has 100 and the Triple has 150 but seriously there is only like a $100 difference between the 2 so I'd go with a Triple.

  • @SEIJITV

No,no Its ok but I heart some opinnions that triple has tighter sound .

  • @PossesedbyBlackMetal yeah mostly because you have more head room, if you want a tighter sound you can always get a tubescreamer for that extra low end

  • @PossesedbyBlackMetal Depends, I have the early 90's 2 channel models. Dual and Trip. There is a distinct difference in both. Dual is tighter and more compressed.

  • hey fella just wanted to ask a question ive got a mesa roadster and noticed you use the maxon od808 alot is that a boost for channels 3-4 i use a hk warp factor pedal on clean and sounds amazing but wanted a boost pedal for the lead channels love the playing

  • Now,that's a metal amp!!!

  • I'm not gonna lie. I don't like rectifiers generally, but this sounds pretty damn good.
