I like the sound of this version better than the one from the studio sessions, cheers mate. Pity about the black- haired guy in front of the cameraman, haha.
Awesome! Been a massive Lizzy/Lynott fan since the early 80's. Seen them several times, met the man himself and collected all their stuff.....have got the audio of this show but never seen the footage so a HUGE thanks for posting it here. Great stuff. He IS the Legend.
I wonder if they remember me, I was at Bath Uni when they played there and gave Phil a photo of me and my band, 'The Boys'. I wish I'd had more time then, but I was with friends who had the transport and they wanted to get home....
Amazing thanks so much for this ultra rare footage... I had heard from various sources that Grand Slam were amazing live... and now I see they weren't wrong! Cheers again!
The "Live 1984" disc isn't complete. 'Yellow Pearl' and 'Nineteen' are played before 'Sisters of Mercy' and 'Crazy' is played in the middle; none of which are on the released DVD. I have the whole audio of this show, SBD quality, except for "Cold Sweat", which comes from this source. It's available for trade (for a comparable GS show), but not something I plan on posting. As far as videos...I don't watch them, so I don't collect them.
Yep, pretty cool to finally see this. The picture is nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be, based on what I heard from fans that bought this disc. Obviously they expected PRO quality picture, but REAL fans know better. An audience video with fairly decent sound is a hell of a lot better than nothing.
lol 0:54 Phil says "Cry Like A Baby" and that guy in front of the camera rubs his eyes a couple of times

Grand Slam didn't sound much different to Lizzy. I wished he'd just kept Lizzy together. It was the best band in the world.
