@chsn09 What studies are you referring to exactly? As I far as I know, the only significant genetic studies done on Dominicans have almost been exclusively based on MtDNA lines. I also recall there was one gene mapping test done on Dominican-Americans living in NYC which showed them to be about 46% caucasoid and 41% negroid. I've never seen any in depth autosomal study which shows any one predominance(i.e.>50%) "Afro" or otherwise.

The typical dominican phenotype is that of a mulatto with some minor taino influences here and there; those genome studies coincide with that. So there is no single ancestral predominance in dominicans( that is over 50%).
Again, if you find any genome/autosomal studies which point to a Negroid "Afro" predominance then refer me to said studies. I'm open minded as long as you have facts to support your claims.

@chsn09 What studies are you referring to exactly? As I far as I know, the only significant genetic studies done on Dominicans have almost been exclusively based on MtDNA lines. I also recall there was one gene mapping test done on Dominican-Americans living in NYC which showed them to be about 46% caucasoid and 41% negroid. I've never seen any in depth autosomal study which shows any one predominance(i.e.>50%) "Afro" or otherwise.

The typical dominican phenotype is that of a mulatto with some minor taino influences here and there; those genome studies coincide with that. So there is no single ancestral predominance in dominicans( that is over 50%).
Again, if you find any genome/autosomal studies which point to a Negroid "Afro" predominance then refer me to said studies. I'm open minded as long as you have facts to support your claims.
