In the G1 episode Fire in the Sky, Skyfire (Jetfire) is friends with Starscream before he became a Decepticon. He crash lands on earth millions of years ago and is revived by the Decepticon's in the 1980s. He joins up with his friend but realises that he doesn't like the Decepticon's way of life and joins up with the Autobots.
