But what i think would make him a really cool playable character is his teleportation, it reminds me of the Fourth Hokage's from Naruto. He goes from sword to sword, that would be a very interesting tactic to use in battle. Though who i want most in would be Genesis.
Although Sephiroth is a kick-ass character, I don't like how a single swipe, with the Masamune, would send a series of slashes. It makes me think that the Masamune has some sort of Wind element effect... Sorry the cut-scene between Genesis and Sephiroth reminded me of that.
I totally agree on Seifer, Seymour, Shuyin (alt costume) for Tidus, Yuna's DLC (gunner costume) for america. But the character i want most in 012 is the one person who is not a final fantasy character but had interacted with so many of them. I'm talking about Sora of Kingdom Hearts. He would be perfect. I can imagine him going into Ex-Mode and having his Final Drive of KH2 equipped and using Trinity Limit as his Ex-Mode HP attack. His alt costume 1&2 can be Roxas and Ventus.

For Noctis, it's doubtful. First, I'm not even sure that Versus XIII is available ANYWHERE at the moment. As for the other possible reason, he's too overpowered. TELEPORT + weapon summon = OP'd. No freaking way anyone could beat him.
Zack could never be an alternate costume for Cloud, he has too much of his own story to become an alternate! (Plus, his rivalry against Sephiroth would make no sense, with him being Zack!)

I do like Gunner Yuna, but, I do realise that they need her to have a class of her own.... adding Gunner Yuna, would be too much like Laguna! But, the thing that I don't get, is there are already summon stones in this game, allowing you to utilise summons without being a Summoner, so in theory, the Summoner class isn't very unique at all! Nomura stated that the next character announcement might be "one from the SNES era", so that would be games 1-6. Final Fantasy VI should get a new character, I say. They also said that their wouldn't necessarily add an even amount of characters per game. Technically, they could give FFVII 6 characters...

Not a bad list, except for one thing...Genesis. I don't want Genesis anywhere near Dissidia 012, or any other FF games for that matter.
He's possibly -the worst- Final Fantasy Villain of all time, or at least one of.

Unfortunately, Genesis is not so much related to the FF7 characters in Dissidia besides Sephiroth. In my opinion, Dr. Hojo is more likely to fill the villain spot in FF7.
He is one of the big villains in FF7, sort of being the cause of all evil in the story and whatnot.

Nomura wanted to include Lightning, but since FFXIII was not yet released at the time, he thought he'd wait until a sequel (as he didn't want to reveal anything about Lightning, and quite frankly, why would a character debut in a crossover game before his/her original game?). It's funny, though. I see people who want Noctis. Nothing wrong with that, I respect that. But they don't even know anything about his character...

to help with FFXI as I play that myself great characters would be, Zeid, Raogrimm, Prince Trion, Wolfgang, Maat would be kind of funny and interesting really, Eidialc, so many more there's too many characters, though most people assume it will be Prishe as she was considered though Shantotto as you know is who we got.

2 more from FF I, 2more from FFII, 2 more FF III, two more FF IV etc. You get it? So two more FF XIII, that's why Lightning is in it. I am just guessing.

@DarthAlphaTheGreat If only... However, Square said they would add only 4-10 more characters. We currently have 5: Kain, Lightning, Tifa, Vaan, Laguna. That means we could get up to 5 more. Nomura stated that the next character announcement might be "one from the SNES era", so that would be games 1-6. Final Fantasy VI should get a new character, I say. They also said that their wouldn't necessarily add an even amount of characters per game. Technically, they could give FFVII 6 characters...

the only problem with zack being playable is that his fighting style would be far too similar to that of cloud
not to mention it would be weird for him to see cloud using his sword
a zack alternate costume for cloud might be a possibility, but cloud already has 3 alternate costumes, so I doubt it

Not a bad list, except for one thing...Genesis. I don't want Genesis anywhere near Dissidia 012, or any other FF games for that matter.
He's possibly -the worst- Final Fantasy Villain of all time, or at least one of.
Besides, Genesis will obviously not be in it, I know it's a wishlist, but I'm just saying that he won't. Genesis is such a minor character and there's a whole lot of other, more popular choices.

Unfortunately, Genesis is not so much related to the FF7 characters in Dissidia besides Sephiroth. In my opinion, Dr. Hojo is more likely to fill the villain spot in FF7.
He is one of the big villains in FF7, sort of being the cause of all evil in the story and whatnot.

@Pikachu150 I just figured since Garland would have a more emotional conflict with Zidane and Kuja,he'd be more suited to chaos side.There really aren't that many villians in ffix that could be in dissidia for the side of chaos. Necron is just one of the most retarted,random and out of place characters in the game that had absolutely nothing to do with the plot. I rather Garland than him.

I would really like to see more female playable characters. I'm definitely routing for Yuna to join the group. Fran would be nice, Yuffie would be cool if they do it right, we need more fem characters in this game. Anyone else agree?

Dissidia needs characters from the older games.
The only two guys I agreed with in this game were Noctis and Genesis because I could totally see them being enemies. But someone who I really wanna see in Dissidia 012 is that nameless warrior that Yoshitaka Amano drew in FF3. Even though he never showed up in the game that would still be cool.

and i highly doubt noctis would show. he doesn't have his own entry into the franchise yet.
but i get where you can want them in it. i think it would be awesome to see them show up just for the fangasms. but until theres a huge character roster, i dont think they'll show up. thats why they need to make this damn game for ps3 already. or wait till psp2.

the way you edited the video is awesome! man I'd love to see Seifer. shame on SE if they don't include Shuyin as an alt this time, I was already bitterly disappointed they didn't do so in the original. Zack as a Cloud alt seems unlikely now they've pretty much revealed all his alts... so maybe he'll make it in as a separate character? if so, shorts + parasol alt ftw! ...unlikely though, I know.

@goldeyeblue You are definitely correct. Just look at the first game. Nomura wanted to include Lightning, but since FFXIII was not yet released at the time, he thought he'd wait until a sequel (as he didn't want to reveal anything about Lightning, and quite frankly, why would a character debut in a crossover game before his/her original game?). It's funny, though. I see people who want Noctis. Nothing wrong with that, I respect that. But they don't even know anything about his character...

to help with FFXI as I play that myself great characters would be, Zeid, Raogrimm, Prince Trion, Wolfgang, Maat would be kind of funny and interesting really, Eidialc, so many more there's too many characters, though most people assume it will be Prishe as she was considered though Shantotto as you know is who we got.
