  • i lysten to this song when i cut,it helps...

  • @memillermm Aww I'm really sorry you cut. I've been there before and it does help with the pain, I admit, but I stopped because I didn't feel like I had to anymore. But I don't like when other people do it. Please be careful with your life as it is very precious. There is always something or someone there for you, so don't give up, okay? :)

  • @memillermm I understand your connection to this song, but is that really something that should be posted on the internet? I'm sorry you feel you must do that.. but it's not something you should be stating to the world, it just makes people uncomfortable.

However, this song is beautiful and I miss how MCR used to be.

  • i love my chemical romance...so fucking much:[] you guys don't even know.

  • i would like to think i know. despite all the heavy shit i listen to (deathcore), mcr is still, and always will be, my favorite band.

  • same here

  • but does anyone notice there's a corpse in this bed? <3

  • I see it like as s vampire.

when it says " Running away and hiding with you, I never thought they'd get me here, Not knowing you'd change from just one bite, I fought them all off just to hold you close and tight"

It's like the person he loves got changed into a vampire or something. And then as the song continues... about having the guts to put this to your head...etc ?

it makes me sad because he can't be with one he loves anymore :(

  • But does anyone notice? But does anyone care?

It's so much more about zombies for me.

    It's called a metaphor. A very well-written one...

  • I love this song...

Makes me think about rain for some odd reason...Hmmm....

I love My Chemical Romance! :D

  • @eizDown1234 I think of rain too...like the lightly falling rain, that patters upon a grassy park. Not the heavy rain that pounds against the earth.

  • I'm getting married to frank with this song(LOL)

  • 2:12

  • Holy crap! A zombie song that's flippin' awesome! Some L4D music...

  • i put my self in his position while listening to this song.

  • ZOMBIES!

  • Comment removed

  • i thought this song was about vamps.

  • such a nice song.. go gerard!

  • I love this song - I listened to it all the time when I played WoW...and now it reminds me of Stonetalon Mountains. Sad, for sure, but still ^^

  • roflmao.

    -virtually high-fives you-

    WoW all the way.

And I totally agree: this could be STM's anthem xD

  • @NxyDolli That's really funny, I was playing wow while listening. :)

  • @NxyDolli Its funny since im in Stonetalon Mountains atm. o_O

  • @NxyDolli german techno is best for pvp xD

  • its aout vapires not zombies!

but also kindof a love song

    but mostly vampires!

  • No, I heard some interview somewhere where they said it was based on the movie dawn of th edead, and that's about zombies.

  • i love this song! it's got so much emotion!

  • lol this is about zombie's!?!? well i guess when you think zombie's and read the lyrics it makes a whole lot of sense. but man my first guess was way off...(not gonan say anything <.<)

  • haha...i used to live in monroeville

  • this is the meaning of awesomeness

  • Baby Im sorry Gerard is already happily married and a happy father. I love him too but get real. He wont fucking marry you.

  • true, but i heard that mikey is having a pretty suckish relationship!?! huh! well, i dont know if its true but...ya never know! lol! i know..in my dreams

  • love mcr GERARD PLZ MARRY ME!!!! LOL

  • When I first heard this, I totally thought it was about vampires, it took me awhile to notice that it was about zombies. When I first watched Dawn of the Dead was the scariest movie I'd ever seen. I was such a chicken!

  • lol.

  • Early Sunsets over Monroeville was said to have been inspired by the George A. Romero film Dawn of the Dead. Check wikipedia. I KNOW I KNOW anyone can write anything but shit, it's pretty accurate.

  • Yeah, you're exactly right. Wikipedia got its facts right this time. MCR said that that was what it was about.

  • But does anyone notice? But does anyone care? And if I had the guts to put this to your head But does anything matter if you're already dead? And should I be shocked now by the last thing you said? Before I pull this trigger Your eyes vacant and stained And in saying you loved me Made things harder at best And these words changing nothing As your body remains And there's no room in this hell There's no room in the next But does anyone notice there's a corpse in this bed? <3
  • One time i was laying down in my bedroom listening to this on my ipod and it was a bright day outside. As soon the last line of the song came "does anyone notice" A huge cloud went over the sun and my room was almost completely black. Then I heard " Theres a corpse in this bed" I was so freaked out lol.

  • FAVOURITE SONG! AT THE MOMENT!

  • toshay MCR you guys are still my fav band

  • how many singles does this album have i can only find 2...

  • perfection :) old my chem my favorite.

  • This is my favorite My chemical romance song ever.

I love the sound, the lyrics, everything.

  • it has 2 bea about vampires cause it says never thought they'd get me here

Not knowing you'd change from just one bite

I fought them all off just to hold you close and tight

  • Gee actually said that he wrote this one after watching dawn of the dead...that whole shopping mall scenario is the give away clue...hehehehe..

    XD

  • That totally makes more sense to me now, cause I was like, why is there this whole thing about the mall? XD

Btw, I love that movie. ;]

  • what movie is it..?

  • Dawn of the Dead

  • Why is this song so good?! GAH! So good.

  • This song made me cry right at the end...I love it. :)

  • you seem to know a lot about the meaning of the songs and album. could you tell me what all the other songs are about if you have the time ? :)

  • Yer you can tell it is about a zombie film !

    Ive always imagined that !

' Not knowing you change from just one bite'

You turn in to a zombie when they bite you it adds up hahah lol sorry !!

AMAZING song one of my favs

    xox

  • This song has two meanings actually. The first is that it's about Dawn of the Dead.

Meaning numero dos. Bullets is a concept album, meaning every song is a part of a story. This song is the part of the story where the girl and the boy are hiding from the vamps and she gets bitten and has to go to the hospital.

  • The story is a girl and a boy who met during work and fell in love. They broke up and a couple years later reunite when their city is overrun by vampires. They try to get away but the girl is bitten and has to remain in the hospital. The boy knows she won't ever be the same and, seeing her agony, kills her via a wooden stake through her heart. But soon, he realizes he can't live without her, and kills himself as well.

  • But i understand the album is like a story !

But if this is song is about dawn of the dead it would be about zombies wouldn't it !!!

  • It is NOT about zombies. Nice try, though.

  • Im not trying it makes sense both ways the lyrics could mean vampires or zombies !

AND if people are saying its about dawn of dead then its about zombies !!

And the scene is is a super market like in zombie movies !!

But then it could be about Vampires

Did you hear Gerard say it was about vampires ??

  • yeah, i see your point but it could be both i think

i guess you would have to ask gerard for its actual meaning. but things like "And if I had the guts to put this to your head

But does anything matter if you're already dead?" make me think zombies and knowing the whole album is a story and how it talks about vampires it could be both

  • I think it's about a zombie attack. "And if I had the guts to put this to your head. But does anything matter fi you're already dead?" You apparently kill a zombie by shooting it in the head or taking off it's head. " I fought them all off, just to hold you close and tight." Fighting off zombie hordes. That's only my opinion though ^.^

  • yeah, you'd have to ask the band for the real meaning to be sure tho

  • I think its about dawn of the dead, I think I read it somewhare.

  • who is dawn of the deaD???

  • i think they mean the movie...=P

    atleast i hope they do...

  • Lol i kno what they mean now my friend watched the movie and told me what it was then she lent me the movie! lol it was an okay movie i guess..

  • lol. It's a movie.

  • man my chemical romacne should make a movie! it could be made of all of their albums put together, like a bunch of small stories made into one full movie, haha maybe i could make it..but thanks for telling the meanings behind this story man!

  • Oh my God! That'd be amazing! I would pay ANYTHING to see something like that :D!

  • I think this is about Dawn of the Dead, not sure but in that movie they go to a mall and stuff to shelter from zombies "Up and down escalators

    Pennies and colder fountains

Elevators and half-price sales" and i could be wrong but where they were was shut off by the world from mountains "Trapped in by all these mountains"

  • dawn of the dead was shot in monroeville mall ive been there

  • I live by the Mall. Whenever my friends and I go there we walk like zombies. haha.

  • I love this song! It's my favorite off this album. X)

  • I love this song, but I personally think it would be better if Gerard's voice was a bit louder so it was easier to hear him. But it's still a good song.

  • so beautiful

i love them they are so clever-PURE GENIUS

  • hhmm...intresting song..

  • Pretty cool. Gerard said the song was about Dawn of the Dead :(

  • Where did he say that? Dawn of the Dead? 0.o
