Mr. Farber didn't know Mr. McGuinty had changed his position until last week, when the premier told reporters he would attempt to make religious school funding the central issue of the Oct. 10 election.
Mr. Farber went on, "This is a complete about-face. It's not fair -- it's offensive -- to link our day school system and (other) faith-based schools with segregation. It's fear-mongering. It's time for him to step up to the plate and to retract this."
"At the time, that was a hugely significant statement," said Mr. Bernie Farber (CEO of the CJC), "He stood up in front of the leadership of Ontario's Jewish community and said he was prepared to do it."
It appears that even Mr. McGuinty can't keep his own lies straight anymore... information has surfaced this week indicating that Mr. McGuinty himself SUPPORTED FUNDING FAITH BASED SCHOOLS in a statement made to the CJC in 1998.
"There's an issue of unfairness there that will have to be addressed," Mr. McGuinty said
You deserve an "F". He isn't saying he'll remove the $400 million from the public schools, you dummy! You're forced to say this anyways, as is your boss because if you don't then the teachers union will back the NDP instead of you! DOLT
Ontario is in violation of the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights because of our discriminatory education funding. McGuinty promised to fix this when in 2003 when he was campaigning. Now he wants to keep the status quo. McGuinty is also a MASSIVE HYPOCRITE, he sends all of his 4 children to religious schools.
The Liberals are in favour of faith based funding, as long it is their faith!
