  • Big Ole Lean: Every Big Beautiful Country Bama Hoe's Dream Date, spittin' some true grit in yo' ears. All the fake, criminal, robber rappers do not know what real music is or how to make their own. This is an example of the lost art of being real. Real players always get that ass every time. No Escalade, BMW or Benze required. You've seen 'em at the bus stop or riding their two wheel mack-o-lack in the cross walk. Most true players don't even have all their teeth. Go figure.

  • never knew this was a sample, espescially considering Dre dont sample that much

  • @ElBoogieAmworld

Dr. Dre samples A LOT man. Always has.

  • @STRONGARMgankedU young folk think they know, but they have no idea

  • @bumpodell LMFAO! These young folks think they know what good music is don't they? If they only knew. This is where all the shit originated.

  • @ElBoogieAmworld

    Dre sample a looooooot

  • @DJRamon916 No he didn't Leon Haywood did the original before dr.dre covered it. Did he gave Leon Haywood credit or he stole a sample of his song. It is called plagarism a person or a musician who steals someone's work and don't give him or her credit for their work.

  • @richlove404 stupid fuck your such a fucken moron he's kidding

  • @Gangstazila why in the hell did you insult me for? Do you really know me anyway. I just ask a question you do not need to blow it out of porportion. Do you know what moran means look in the dictionary.

  • @richlove404 congrats richlove404 you are by far the biggest retard on this video's comment board ....you have anything to say for your self ..... cause everyone else noticed the guy was joking .............

Congrats you have become another one of those people on the web ...... and im sure you're as much as loser in reallife judging from the need to chop into the guy for something that was obviously kidding ......

We can only hope you die before you have kids and end your demon spore.....

  • @Crespwnian Let me tell you something never ever call me a retard again. Because that word you're saying is already banned. So if you call me or anyone a retard again you're going to get yourself into trouble next time. Do I look a retard to you no I don't I am a woman fool. I am not a loser like you I am a college student who is trying to get an education for myself and also going to a nurse aide training on the side. You're doing yourself not me I don't have time for your crap.

  • @richlove404 Dear Richlove404 It is indeed my humble opinion that you are a retard for your sad disability to recognize the sarcasm that was being made in the comment and your all out defense of the obvious truth he was pointing out and your clearly offended response to me. makes clear you are an insecure college student who needs more than education on a school level .... might a suggest taking a social interaction course to help avoid situations like this for you in the future .... ..RETARD

  • @Crespwnian get a damn life and stop calling me a retard. This word has been danned. I don't want anyone call me that. I already moved on and you should too. It is a insult to me. if you call me that again you're on your own for good. I am not going to say anything anymore you started this mess solve it yourself. I am not going to mind you I have other things in life that you. So get over it yourself. You can insult me all you want but it will not get you anywhere. Thanks and good bye.

  • @richlove404 once more dear retardlove404 you spelling disability adds to me comment of you being a retard .... as far as life goes im sure im doing better than you my dear child ..... and no you don't have a life cause otherwise you wouldn't have ripped on the the first guy to begin with .....so no you started all of this and now everyone is finishing you off ..... this is the result of your own stupidity and nobody elses see ya RETARD

  • @Crespwnian let me tell you something about myself. I beat the odds alright, and I was born one pound and fifteen ounces as a baby I was not born nine months. I survived to this day up to now and I am pround that I survived today. Because I never gave up in life. Some people said that I will not graduated from high school and I did. Now I am almost close to raduate from college. Making fun of me will not help you anyway. So please you need to stop making fun of me because you are a bully person.

  • Two people were expecting Snoop to start busting like a bubble when this started up.

  • that bassline is fuckin haunting !

  • But he stole the whole beat.

  • all rap does is sample, nothing is original . but i like it anyways.

  • @TheDannyboy55 wrong.

  • Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre must be sneakin' around the back!

  • who produced this song?

  • @DJRamon916

I almost had a heart attack when you said the first part.

  • I keep waiting to hear "1, 2, 3, 4 snoop doggy dogg and dr. dre is at the door"

  • @acdclandon1 so true

  • This was looped and sampled,

but heard this because of Nuthin but a G thang

  • @123bitterbro123....im a fan of dr. dre and I know that he's "sampled" tons of songs, by law he has to acknowlodge all samples on his album but there is no originality in Nuthin but a G thang or the wash because he didnt create the foundation of the music therefore I call it stealing but if you want to sugar coat it yeah we can call it sampling

  • @denedra1

Stop bitching. If it wasn't for Dr. Dre, 90% of people wouldn't know about this song.

  • @TheSmokefaceKillah

    ha ha what you mad

  • @denedra1

No sir, it's just the truth. The music video of the song by Dre that contains this sample has millions of views, this doesn't. So obviously Dre made this song more popular. If it wasn't for Dre most of us wouldn't even be on this page.

  • @TheSmokefaceKillah You have a point but there is always value in originality...it makes us who we are and by the way, my man played this song a couple of days ago, so that's why I'm here ;)

  • Aint nuthin but a gthang baby

  • Dr.Dre also stole this song for "The wash"

  • @denedra1

    and about 500 others.....

  • @denedra1 he didn't steal he sampled. he acknowledged all samples

  • Ain't Nuthin' But A Funky Thing

  • one two three and to the four leon haywood and dr dre is at yr door

  • thank god for sampling so old music won't die

  • @suckermc

Ikr! I know I heard this sampled more than once, that's why I had to find this song...and this is a freaky discovery! ^^

    <3in the old school! =)

  • @suckermc

these days classics dont get sampled :(

  • @EazyE3232 Like you can call anything that comes out these days "classic"...!!

  • @garethlott

I was talkin about REAL classics....

  • this song is like taking a hit man, its so relaxing..

  • very chill but dre does it justice

  • west coast!!!!!

  • This IS THE sample for Nuthin but a G thang

  • @Tee020 - and corner bodega by 50

  • Damn listen to these lyrics. Old school pimp music. LEON THE MAC DADDY!

  • I love how Oliver949oc engaged in name calling only to be incapable of spelling shit correctly. "no shit genious" haha that was real GENIUS let me tell ya

  • Woah i thought dr dre made this all himself damnnnnnn...

  • west side Nuthin But a G thang ;)

  • lol west side

  • Comment removed

  • Leon got paid

  • its called sampling

  • Comment removed

  • no shit genious!!

  • its not sampling when you loop 3-4 minute sections of a song.

  • Uh yes it is. In fact, that's a definitive 'sample'.

  • No that's what sampling is now considered. It's a twisted version of what sampling really is. 3 to 4 minute sections of a song makes it a cover song, not a sample. The very definition of the word "sample" is a small taste of something much larger. When you go to a grocery store and they give out free food samples, they give you a tiny sliver of what the full package of food would have.

  • uuuhhhhhh yeah it is. its just not a loop, but a long sample. sometimes an entire track is used and then its an entire track sample

  • No thats not sampling, its a cover song. Sampling is when it's a very small portion, like less than 10 seconds. That's what it originally meant. Now the definition of it has been twisted and distorted.

  • wow, i like dre and all but he didnt even a anything to it.

  • Actually he did. In this song the melody in high register, is a string section. On the Dr. Dre version he played the same notes with a mini-moog. (pronounced mogue). There are some other differences too but that one is really huge.

  • i discovered that piece after loving Dr Dre's version of it..

    both songs are great

    this one's a masterpiece

and DrDre and Snoop song was so well done, and when it came out Snoop style was just incredible...

  • this shit is my no.1 listed on my copy cd when im putting it in~

  • hip hop is nothing without soul & funk...they re the real genious the others are stealers and cheaters...too easy to copy too hard to create

  • it's not copying, it's sampling. and sampling is an art form in itself

  • stealers and cheaters? pfft! its not as if they dont pay for it!?

  • this sounds better than Dr Dre

  • if all of ya think bout it,- dre made it world famous.

  • haha yes. thank dre ppl.

compton ave and 133rd st . we out.

  • Shuda Been a B-Dog -nationwide rip ridaz sampels this too.

    DAm im a master

  • @ZorbinEUR not like you are the only person that knows that

  • i hate it when ppl get mad becus theyr realized DJs in rap didnt produce entirely the track.SAMPLIN IS PART OF HIP HOP,u really think dr dre went out there and played that guitar n drums and recorded it live?comon y'all

  • You can make that argument if it sounded like Dre put any work into it at all...there's pretty much no creativity exhibited in this at all.

  • haha dr dre did put work man.he put his own bass and drums in there, all those synths and the lyrics he wrote.theres always creativity in rap, even though theres samples

  • Are you listening to the same song I am? It's the exact same bass, and the drums are just layered over the already existing drums with no changes.

  • why dont you try and do it then see how far you get, its easier said then done, its a whole art form in it self. so stop talking like shits easy when you dont know shit.

  • And you know I can't do it how?

  • do it then show me, any one can talk

  • im not saying i can u dick, i know i cant, but i appreciate a talent when i hear one, you obviously cant cant cuz ur head is too far up your ass

  • Right...because I dont' think this was a particularly impressive example of sampling, my head is up my ass. Okay.

  • it was looped not realy sampled

  • A loop is made from a sample.

  • This is beyond sampling...He STOLE THIS SHIT.!!!! Every Note!!!!!!

  • This song is the BIDness!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best intros ever.

  • dr. dre stole something?? oh, yeah. every song on the chronic!

  • Sampled not stole.

  • most other gangsta rappers did the same.. at least on their debut album..

  • This tune is THE BALLS

  • fucking graet

  • dr dre hijacked this song for "the next episode"

  • NO he didn't. He sampled this for "Nothin but a G Thang."

  • that's what i meant.

  • no, i'm sure your napster mp3 download tag is wrong... this song is definitely sampled for aint nothing but a g thang.

  • he never said what he wanted to do freaky to me but anyway loved the song

  • twista sampled this song to on mobsters anthem

dre a fraud to he just took this whole song and added some synths

  • he's a fraud because of what now? explain yourself ::

  • im a dre stan but he a fraud all he do is take certain songs and add a synth here and the best things about his beats his drums

  • congratulations, you just described 75% of all beat makers out there... try harder next time ::

  • detox is on the way this year maybe november. and dre is the best producer ever

  • yea dre's a dope producer

but i doubt detox will be out this year

  • so whats this detox album supose to be about

  • love this song!this melody!that song got his own soul....

  • G's & Locs

    Crips & Bloods

    around 1:20

  • And all this time I thought that Dre was the genious behind "G-Thangs" beats. I didn't know that this was the original song, thanks for the post..

  • he is a genius, he took that and made it into something different

  • that's right, this is what makes a great producer, the ability to crate dig like this!

  • No, the real genius is haywood. He merely reproduced the beat, THAT IS NOT GENIUS. If Dre was a genius, he'd compose his own beats without resorting to sampling. And it's not like Dre did anything extra in this case. He didn't add any extra tunes or accompaniments, he just lifted the tunes from this song. THAT IS NOT GENIUS !!

  • Lol, met too. I idolized Dre for coming with that mesmerizing tune at the beginning. Turns out the tune didn't original from his mind. Boo.

  • Tight song!

  • so damn funky

  • I wonder if you guys knew that's the love unlimited orchestra playing the music. Those boy were bad! Gene page, barry whites right hand man did the arrangements.

I wish i knew who that chick was with all that sexy moanin. I'm losing it!!!!!!!!

  • This is a classic R&B for laid back player cut of that day. Hot In All the night clubs in Chicago IL. Bill Simmons El Matador with Dee-Jay Killer Joe Dunmore & Butterball at Other Place on 75 Street & The Bill Street 69 & Halsted, Motown Night Club on 75 Street, President Club on 75 Street, These were the clubs that made this song a hot hit a big seller back in the day. The song just made your life fun with the ladies and in your ride.
