It's not that the strings are loose, but the E-string is an A-string, A-string is a D-string, D-string is a G-string, and as D-string he uses a string from a tennisracket. At least that's what he used in the old days. :-)

He still rocks everybodys socks off, so i dont see the problem.

I dont see how Kim could possibly be cheating? - he build the bass and taught himself how to play it, so whatever works for him. The weird slap sound is because the sound ingeneer at the show never heard a slap bass before ion his life, but just told to make it loud, cause thats psychobilly....

bullshit i've seen them many times, and performance was flawless. Just because guitar was down on monitors doesn't mean his tempo is off. If you can barely hear, you can get confused.
