I haven't been to the movies in SOOO long because the prices are ridiculously high. And don't even think about getting popcorn. Regular admission is $11 and Student discounts are only $1 off unless you're a Senior Citizen or a Child which is about $3 off. Orlando sucks! EVERYTHING is sooo expensive! =-/
My local town has 2-3 dollar theaters that show the movies that have left the main theaters and are waiting to go out on dvd...waiting those extra couple of weeks can save a couple almost 15 dollars. Plus most theaters have certain days where the prices are halfoff or they have student and family discounts.
@pinthera too bad it's not toonie Tuesday anymore...prices went up even at the shittiest movie theater where crackheads live. Sucks balls I must say. *Sigh*
Here in Canada for Cineplex, you can get a rewards card, debit, or visa that when you use then you earn points. And every 1000 points equals a free tickets. And there is a 1000 point bonus when you sign up. So can't go wrong with free movies and 10% off the concession stand.
First time I used it, I had enough points for myself, my mom and my aunt to see Twilight for free.
Just a little FYI about tickets from costco. If you plan on buying regal entertainment tickets, don't expect them to cover the full price of all tickets. Buyers of Imax & 3D tickets still have the pay the difference of the original ticket price which varies from about 4-8$ I believe.
The red tickets are usually worth $6.50, and with certain new release films, there is usually an extra charge fee ($1.50 for us) so the tickets aren't always completely free.
