When I was really young (and I don't remember this, but I've been told what happened), about 4 or so, my dad smacked my brother really hard in the face (he was 5 or 6), and my mom told him if he ever hit him again, she'd kill him and bury him in the backyard.
Needless to say, he never touched my brother again. Now, if my STEP-FATHER did this to me...I don't even want to know what my mother would do to him.

I think I've seen a different version of this movie. The events leading up to this beating were different. Bone said something rude inside the house and the mother tried to intervene.
I saw that scene on a DVD I bought in an Asian country. I think it was the full uncensored version. Haven't seen it anywhere else, sorry. I've seen a shorter version where the final rape scene was cut short. The full version isn't really more visually graphic, it's more about implying what's happening, which is still pretty intense.
However, I have a question I hope so one can answer. What happened to Bone's little sister? She's gone afterward, y'know? Like I never got that part on why her little sister was gone.. maybe after.. she left home to get away from Glen the first time.

If you read my post again, you will see that I am not blaming every mother. I said that SOME mothers know that it is going on and they won't stop it. I myself have been abused and because of what I went through, I am over protective of my daughter and will keep my eyes open because I would never want her to experience something as dreadful as sexual or physical abuse. There are women who will stay with men who are abusing their daughters because of weakness, fear, money, stability etc.

When I was really young (and I don't remember this, but I've been told what happened), about 4 or so, my dad smacked my brother really hard in the face (he was 5 or 6), and my mom told him if he ever hit him again, she'd kill him and bury him in the backyard.

I saw that scene on a DVD I bought in an Asian country. I think it was the full uncensored version. Haven't seen it anywhere else, sorry. I've seen a shorter version where the final rape scene was cut short. The full version isn't really more visually graphic, it's more about implying what's happening, which is still pretty intense.
