What a dark day this is with the news that one of the Red Arrows has crashed at Bournemouth. The team are fearless and exceptional, they are the best in the world and I feel quite devasted that one of the pilots has lost his life in this way. My thoughts and tears go out to his family, may he rest in peace.
Who has been to some international Air Tattos with Frecce Tricolori in the program like me , knows perfectly what's the difference : when red arrows join it , they're just an acrobat team among others and nobody care that much , when frecce Tricolori are scheduled , everyone is excited 'cos they know they will see the greatest show on earht , the crowd is 2 / 3 times bigger tens of TVs & newspapers come along to see and interview the legend of acrobat fly, the best in the world since decades.

in 1961, Red Arrows in 1964 . In addition Frecce are the only one team in the world performing with 10 aircrafts differently from any team else that have nine ( Red Arrows ) or eight or less aricrafts, which means that any manouvre is 2 or 3 times more complex and risky than ordinary .

The Red Arrows are very good. The comparison of the Blue Angels and the Red Arrows is somewhat irrelevant. The Red Arrows are more acrobatic maneuver team while the Blue Angels are there to promote Navy enlistment. I don't see the Red Arrows flying 18 inches apart but i also don't see the Blue Angels do the looping aerobatic show like the Red Arrows. The Blue Angels fly the F-18 which was never intended to fly for airshows. Not saying that the Hawk T1A was intended for airshows.

The Red Arrows are the bloody best in the world and having met the 2007 pilots 3 years ago after a trial flight lesson down at `Manston` (kent international airport) you just will not get a better display team, after all Britain has the oldest Air Force so what do expect from years of experince. Red Arrow's are decent, but not the best. Atleast since 2001-2010 they aren't. But, if rumor is true and they do get their new planes - they'll atleast rival UNBU and USAFTB. Currently by Aviation standards, the ranked #1 are Thunderbirds (USAF), #2 Blue Angels(US Navy), #3 Red Arrows (RAF) #4 Snowbirds [RCAF] and #4 Black Knights (Russia)
I think every country thinks that its display team is the best in the world. Just like special forces. Whatever the team I am just amazes of these pilots skills. Taiwans display team, and the swedish team 60 are also good(they should fly the Viggen instead of Saab 105!).

The Red Arrows are very good. The comparison of the Blue Angels and the Red Arrows is somewhat irrelevant. The Red Arrows are more acrobatic maneuver team while the Blue Angels are there to promote Navy enlistment. I don't see the Red Arrows flying 18 inches apart but i also don't see the Blue Angels do the looping aerobatic show like the Red Arrows. The Blue Angels fly the F-18 which was never intended to fly for airshows. Not saying that the Hawk T1A was intended for airshows.

Funny the joke about other acrobat teams, when it's widely known that almost ALL COUNTRIES have told and still tell Frecce Tricolori have no rivals for many reasons and there are some countries like Russia that awarded one acrobat team and nobody else in the world, frecce Tricolori ...!

spelled by jokefart , well take it as a ...fart, 'cos saying that a team is the only team who change formation in front of specator, is not only senseless but also totally false,'cos it's one of easiest basic manouvre and it's performed by ALL acrobat teams .
Well we know that there are some manouvres like downward bomb solo crossing and 4 airs crossover which are perfromed only by Frecce Tricolori in the world and by no team else, no matter red arrows copied the original bomb from Frecce !!!

it seems like the jets used by the arrows are smaller and more articulate for maneuvers. Brazilian smoke squadron uses the Tucan, a training plane. Great video and all the squads deserve the same respect. Dont mind ignorant people who aint got shit to say.
