Making a save on Jokinen's back door play is also technique dependent. A butterfly goalie would have made the save there, Brodeur wasn't late to the play, it went through his 5-hole. The Staal goal was from distance, from a sharp angle and on a wrist shot. It was a weak goal in a big time situation. Martin Brodeur was the single greatest reason his team lost, giving up bad goals in clutch situations, period. Better goaltending would've won this series for the Devils.

I'm a Nux fan... but this even completely stunned me, when I saw this game... Huge congrats to the Canes, but bad luck Dev's. Those Staal brothers man, probably the most intelligent players around.
