Last wek on the show, the Sea Shepherds purposely tangled the propellers of a Japanese ship. 2 weeks earlier, those same compassionate people said if anything happened to their boat and they were dead in the water in the Arctic Ocean they could die. SO in essence, they left those Japanese people to die at sea. Is that compassionate? It's more like attempted murder. How is that justified just because they love whales? Those sailors are someone's dad or brother and Sea Shepherd tried to kill them.

Just as the Shepherds have passion for the whales, I have passion for HUMAN life, and was upset that the Shepherds had endangered the lives of human beings in favor of a whale. The Sea Shepherds are on their own down there. If the Steve Irwin was left dead in the water, yes, they would be in trouble. The Japanese whaling fleet is made up of 3 kill ships 2 spotter ships and the Nishin Maru. If one of their ships had their prop fouled they would have no shortage of help.

You can not assume that to be always correct. The very idea that they would purposely fowl the other ship's propellers and then leave them dead in the water is just plain wrong. There's no way anyone could ever justify that action. It is attempted murder and if one of the other ships was not around, those people's lives would be in peril. What would be your reaction if the Nishin Maru had fowled the Irwin's props and then just floated away? Would you say it's no big deal? I truly doubt that.

@acksailor The Sea Shepherds are down there alone by choice. They could take a fleet too. The idea none the less of leaving someone dead in the water ASSuming they have backup is the same as shooting someone and then calling 911 for them ASSuming help will get there in time. You have no guarantee of the outcome. Even making the effort to do something so dangerous is plain wrong on every level, and it risks human lives. No matter how much you sugar coat it, it's akin to attempted murder.

The Japanese are allowed by international law to kill X number of whales per year for research. You don't have to accept that, but it is legal. And in 2009 they are only killing 2 species of whale with a total of around 800. Do you really think that will kill off ALL whales nad cause extinction? Don't be naive.

This is a band from brisbane called The Red paintings who held a big benefit show before the ship left for the crew and paul watson and then created this song in the studio the night before they left to tackle the japanesse..Thi song isnt suppose to be out till mid jan so its been leaked without us knowing. naughty ;)
