They gave it a terrible write up, the graphics look nothing like the trailer (hands up who expected a great 3D environment) and it looks like it was actually written on an Amiga!! The score was a crappy 52%. One for the dustbin then, sad!

I've downloaded the xbla version and not only is it the crapiest demo i've ever downloaded (doesnt even let you see the enhanced version) the screens you get to from them aint lookin nothin like this ?!

you should like this then, apperantly theres only one 'action' button, aside from moving, which depending on context and weather its tapped or held will make your charecter jump, slide or toss, or whatever... i was hoping for somthing a little different than this though.
And when someone does release a simple yet good game, reviewers shoot it down. There are probably a few good games like that out there, but reviewers have shit all over them, so hardly any sell. My favorite example is Dynasty/Samurai Warriors. It has a legion of fans, sells in the millions, yet reviewers give it 5/10, 6 if you're lucky.
I really hope Speedball 2 is successful, it deserves it for all the work that's been put into it. Probably one of the only dedicated PC releases as of recent times...
They really shouldn't, it might sell more on a console but I haven't seen anything classic on the 360 and I despise how the Xbox has affected the quality of PC games. The only reason the 360 has any potential is for the great games that it ruined. Bioshock, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, etc...
Why can;t they just recode the gome so it wold run easily on XP. Redraw graphic. Perhaps ass better sound. That would kick ass. But no.. everything has to be 3D now:( 3 Dicks to fit in your ass.
Because staying 2D wouldn't be marketable, Speedball 2 was already an excellent looking game so how far can they really push it? There are things that you can't do in 2D that makes 3D a much more suitable choice, especially now.
I see no reason for it. And as for "pushing it" - better resolution, better animation, more details. There is a lot of place for improvements. Add multiplayer over net and there's all you need. But You're right. It probably wouldn't be marketable. Too bad. But the time will come! :)

They've taken possibly the greatest game from my childhood, broken it's legs, and thrown it upside down in a bin full of urine. I couldn't wait to see it when I heard they were going to remaster it, but now I have seen this pile of crap I just want to cry. Why did they have to spoil it???
I seriously hope they offer a top-down view mode like the original Amiga classic. And yes, there is something just missing to the action, it looks rather tame to how the original felt and still feels.
