@ 1:48 I can't help but think that Ewan McGregor's character is going to light himself on fire or something. Don't spoil it for me. I'm sure it's not that drastic, but the music in the trailer just gives me that feeling of something tragic that's about to happen.

Saw it at the GFT last week. McGregor's finest performance in Mackenzie's best ever film. Very moving tale, at the high-brow end of the fin de siècle genre.

I've seen the film twice already (premiere in Edinburgh, preview in Glasgow) and I highly recommend it. I thought every bit of it was just so beautiful.

The film is basically about this new virus, which can't actually be detected or dealt with, that takes away people's perceptive senses (smell, taste, hearing etc) and it follows the stories of a chef and an epidemiologist who fall in love during this time.

It has excellent performances, cinematography, and score, and you just have to see it.

The song should be max richter but look for dinner and ship of dreams. And the infra lullaby. Max Richter actually worked with the Director on what pieces to put in so im not sure if they were edited for the movie but i couldnt find the same exact way its played on the movie. Just similarities.

Great lead actors! Eva is my favorite actress of all time, she can delivered such an emotional performance in any role specially with her voices and EYES! And Ewan is great, i love him in Moulin Rouge, Star Wars and Trainspotting.

If I didn't read the synopsis on IMDB I would have guess from this trailer that the movie was about two people falling in love...then finding out about each other's secret lives like...chef's acting rabid @ 1:25 ... people stealing fish at the market @ 1:32 men trashing their houses @ 1:36 ...then getting drunk @ 1:48 ...women trashing their offices @ 1:57 ...then falling in love again @ 2:02 .

P.S. I'm a huge Eva Green and Ewan McGregor fan. :)

This film was incredible! The trailer doesn't say much about the story, but it is truly story where you walk away from it feeling emotionally satisfied. The actual story is based on the romance between a chef and a scientist while the world sets into an epidemic. Everyone on the planet slowly starts losing all their senses one at a time. Very creepy, but very well done!
