I think that bella and edward are soulmates and were ment to be together since they were born or since edward became a vampire. They didn't put this in the movie because they probably tried to get as cheap as they could with the movie and having Yiruma do the score and the lullaby for the movie would have cost more than what they wanted to spend. Its sad really.
