You ladies have lovely hair! Great tips and ideas. Miss Cipriana, you betta work! I love the big bold, sculpture that is your hair. Miss Nikisha, your curls are perfect, but but it looks so effortless. Keep up the good work!
@pecadora99 Hey. Yes, I have heard this randomly before. Unfortunately some people do not understand that everyone's hair behaves differently but what can you do....nothing. Continue to do what works for you and your hair will reap the benefits :D
I am sooo shocked I never heard of or seen you Beautiful Naturals before! I saw your videos as a recommendation from YOUTUBE...LOL...Sooo glad I clicked! Thanx sooo much for sharing!
i blend coconut oil with almond and it works really good...the other thing about cocount oil is that it is a solid at room temperature which is fine but for those of us in cold weather environments you might experience some stiffness outside until your body healt re-melts the oil and JBCO is the best I use it to seal and it is great if you flat iron.
I was wondering for Cipriana, how exactly do you apply the oil into your hair? With a spray bottle, or just with your hands? How much do you use and do you use it daily?
@NaturalSquareOne Come by our UrbanBushBabes site and just type in "hair routine" in our search engine and all your questions will be answered in detail :DDD
okay i have a mixture, of 4b-c and 3c but my hair is more of a kink than a curl and not as soft but can be shinny it's not as kinky as cipriana thou, what would be best for me cuz of my mixture ladies? i would love 2 hear from you guys
@AngelA3000z The best advice is to try and see what works best for you, so you could prehaps create a regimen from a combination of both of our regimens. Your hair will definitely show you what it likes and what it doesn't :)
How do I grow long hair. I just cut my own hair because of the relaxer it made my Hair fallout so that's why I'm asking for your help to help me grow my natural hair back. Help.
OMG thank you so much for talking about coconut oil..cause I'm just at the beginning of my journey and I was mainly using cocnut oil and I didn't understand why my hair was so dry so I added even more. But since, I'm using avocado oil and it's way better.
nikisha i just started watching you guys videos and wanted to know what is the name of your shampoo you use because we have the same texture hair and where did you get it?
MsCafeAulait hooked me onto you lovely ladies and I must say that you are both absolutely beautiful! I am subbing for sure. I think I can learn a great deal from you both. Thank so much for doing these videos. All of you beautiful natural women just don't know how much you help us; so thank you.
@kingdomanointed Yay!!! So appreciative of the referral, really our pleasure! Extremely happy to share especially amongst the beautiful naturals on youtube, thank you so much and for subscribing <3
How come people dont count the transitioning period as being natural?I have been transitioning for 7 months now and it's only the front of my hair that isn't natural(I only used to relax the front of my hair)but it's growing very slow.idk what I'm doing wrong
@Tykkma It depends on how you look at it! The transition period definitely counts as part of your natural hair journey in my book but everyone sees it differently. As for your crown area it may just have to deal with your growth rate. Many people have different areas on their head that grows at a faster or slower rate. This could just mean your crown grows slower than the other areas of your hair. For me the back or nape area is the slowest.
I am a male Hispanic with type 3c mostly. Glad I stumbled into you. Now in my PJ phase. Hate it! My hair is 1½ and 2 inches long but would like it to be at least shoulder length in curly state. Finding it hard to find natural, organic prods that make my hair curly and soft. Not frizzy and dry. What's your take on organic Avocado oil to seal your hair?
@Orlanzepol123 Glad you found us :D Avocado oil is wonderful!!! There are only three oils that the hair shaft can actually absorb and avocado oil is one of them (the other two are coconut and olive oil).
@VintageousZecare Lol, it's a good excuse but seriously if didn't work for me I would wash my hair more often. I have just experienced the best results with this routine but it definitely would not work for everyone!
@sunflowerbeauty100 Long as your hair is of normal or low porosity then this is not damaging, Hair LOVES water. Definitely would help also if you are not using hard water. Checkout our video where we talk about porosity and a good test which you can determine your porosity within a minute :D
@TurnTheWorldAroundTV Thank you so much. I hope we can continue to provide info that will help you along your hair journey. So glad you found us and many many blessings to you <3
I'm happy i came across your channel. I'm starting my daughter (who is Puerto rican/Bajan) on a natural hair journey. The last 2 summers her love affair with swimming (chlorine water) has caused all her lovely locks to just...fall out slowly. I feel so bad for her. So I'm going to start her on natural hair journey.
@SeekingBecca I am so happy you found us as well! I'm sorry this happened. Chlorine is tough on hair period :(I hope we can help her along her hair journey! ;)
Hello Ladies! I really appreciate your videos. They are very helpful to me as I'm from germany. My father's black (also from NY :) ), my mother german. No one actual knows about handling my hair. (not even the hairdresser over here) So I never knew how to care about my hair. (It's just as Nikisha's) I've already tried some of your advices and: WOW! My hair seems to be screaming for moisture and the special night routine. Thank you so much!! Love and blessings from germany. - Tracy

would you guys ever do a in depth tutorial video, well in depth being that it would actually show you detangling your hair, how much oils you apply while deep conditioning, etc? I love your videos & you guys give me hope in my natural hair journey(: <3
@MrsSimon330 So glad I can help :DDD We hope to continue to provide info that you will find useful. Definitely helps when you are on your way to finding a regimen that works for you.
Both of you have such beautiful hair! When I first saw Cipriana's my jaw dropped and I was like "must subscribe NOW" I love that you guys are sooo cool laid back! The vibe between you two reminds me of David Alan Grier and Damon Wayan on Men on Film LOL. I don't know why!

I have the same problem where I have to shampoo weekly to get rid of buildup. On your suggestion I bought the Trader Joes TTT and I am in love. It cleans my hair and my dandruff is nowhere to seen. I've been using TJ's Nourish and Spa for years for my leave in and cowashing so I highly recommend it.
I have dry scalp and tried every oil out there and every deep conditioner and absolutely nothing helps but dandruff shampoo. Plus I've used WEN cleansing conditioner in tea tree. It did nothing. My strands are healthy, but my scalp stinks and has dry scalp. Please help!!
I have a ton of dry scalp and I've been natural for 20 months. I've always had dry scalp and I've tried coconut oil, oils, EVERYTHING!! The only thing that works is dandruff shampoo, but its so drying! I have also tried WEN cleansing conditioner and it made my hair worse PLUS it smelled. Because my hair smells I was it every other day. I need help! I hate my dry scalp plus washing it all the time!!
@mahrreesole It really just depends on the condition of your strands and how your hair responds to not sealing all over constantly. I wash once a month but seal my ends every week because they are the oldest part of your hair. My hair does great without sealing all over but I wear my hair up 24/7 with very low manipulation. Varies for every person :)
I love you ladies!!! can NIKISHA ANSWER THIS QUESTION: ive been dying to know. you basically have my exact hair "shape".... how do you pull your hair back into a ponytail? our hair is so thick around (well everywhere) that its damn near impossible to pull my afro back into a ponytail because there's no length. u konw what i'm sayin?? please help. thanks ladies.
this is a really helpful video...i just started with the V05 my hair luvs it! question though, do u use no shampoo or was that only V05 shampoo not condition?
Love you two ladies!!! I finally managed to go from APL to BSL. But in the past few months I have been saturating my hair with coconut oil, on a daily basis. Ive noticed lately that my hair has been super dry ...Im convinced, after watching your video that its the organic coconut oil that is causing the excessive dryness. I will incorporate your method and try mixing it, I did not know it was a protein!!! I have 4A/B fine strands...Thank you both
@hairvirgin First congrats on your healthy length :D Thank you so much for the compliment and for watching as well! Yes I had the exact same reaction with my hair until I mixed the virgin coconut oil with other natural oils. My hair was beyond dry just using the virgin coconut oil by itself! So glad we could help :DDD
So wonderful that you both show a diverse hair type since black women are very diverse beings. I love your videos. Thank you for the hair tips. They will be utilized. ;)
This is really all new to me, I'm transitioning and completely oblivious, so please forgive me for any ignorant questions. It seems like ppl usually deep conditioner their hair with moisturizing conditioners, but is it okay to deep condition with protein conditioners? Also after washing/conditioning/air-drying my hair, instead of applying moisturizing cream and THEN oils to seal, I just mix my cream with the oils and apply, is this okay? Or do I need to separate these steps?
@choimaru08 Hello! I recommend switching up and using both moisturizing conditioners and protein conditioners. Listen to what your hair tells you because every head is different. Some people need to do more moisturizing conditioners while only doing a protein every few weeks or vice versa. You should be applying your moisturizing leave in while you hair is damp, not dry. Then proceed to seal with an oil. Don't mix it. Oils seal hair preventing moisture from going in or escaping.
I absolutely adore this video. Because its just really nice to see 2 people with different textured hair showing healthy hair is achievable for all hair textures and its nice to see what works for two people with different hair types because i'm not entirely sure what my hair type is. with the girl on the lef (sorry i dont know your name)t, i think your hair is just amazing! it looks so full, so creatively done up and African inspired.. What do you recommend to combat shrinkage and tangles?
ZachEJT24 2 months ago
hey, do you think it's okay to seal moisture in at just the ends of the hair instead of all over? or would it not be that effective?
mahrreesole 2 months ago
@mahrreesole It really just depends on the condition of your strands and how your hair responds to not sealing all over constantly. I wash once a month but seal my ends every week because they are the oldest part of your hair. My hair does great without sealing all over but I wear my hair up 24/7 with very low manipulation. Varies for every person :)

mahrreesole 3 months ago

Or do I need to separate these steps?
choimaru08 4 months ago
@choimaru08 Hello! I recommend switching up and using both moisturizing conditioners and protein conditioners. Listen to what your hair tells you because every head is different. Some people need to do more moisturizing conditioners while only doing a protein every few weeks or vice versa. You should be applying your moisturizing leave in while you hair is damp, not dry. Then proceed to seal with an oil. Don't mix it. Oils seal hair preventing moisture from going in or escaping.
