Zhang LingMei former coach of ShanXi Wushu team together with Head Coach Pang LinTai.
2 of the most amazing coaches/masters in the world.
She coached during the 60s-80s I believe.
Yuan WenQing, Ma Wei, Zheng WenHua, Wang DongLian, Wang AiZhen some of the most amazing Wushu athletes and biggest champions ever are people she and Pang LinTai taught from ages starting at 6 years old :)
@baiNEKO Sounds to me like a Chinese native speaker is doing the voice over, and an excellent job of it as well. It's quite possibly the same woman who's doing the demonstration.
Hey Texassufdonkey, Mas Oyama continued: Otherwise the mind is not fully trained. He is not the only martial master by a country mile who is or was capable of such feats. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Boxing certainly has it's value as the late great Bruce Lee is well known for having integrated it into Jeet Kune Do which isn't ultimately a set system at all. Chinese had Sanshou thousands of years before boxing ever existed as such and later Sanda. Yes sparring is important. Over & out.
You know jack-shit TEXAS FIZZLE I am betting killing green trees with your barehands and ripping the horns off of fucking bulls are more effective than bullshit katas in any mans book.
Bored huh. Hadn't heard from you in a week lover boy, burrosurf de Tejas, anyway even if you are partially right that is like saying an engine is the most important thing in a car but if just a few lug nuts like yourself come loose, pun intended, how long will your 500 horsepower motor safely operate. Your headed for doomsday buddy with thinking like that. In china without a very very solid foundation in forms your ass would truly be grass. A car with bad steering and no brakes is a coffin buddy
Think of it this way - to be a great musician you have to learn all the scales and be able to practice them backwards and forwards, later if you are a real musician you can "play" with them while soloing to "create" your own phrases or dialect, the vocabulary however is universal. Later you may "forget" the scales to move beyond the scales only AFTER you learn them. Even Bruce Lee said learn the forms, forget the forms. You have to learn them first to forget them later.
TEXASSURFDONKEY is an official DOUCHE. I would love to see her kick your ass from here to china. Forms train the nerve endings, mind body response and most importantly work on correcting or obtaining correct biomechanics in traditional kung fu which also leads to correct movements in real combat at the advanced level. Nuff said LOSER.
You go on and believe the hype buddy. You show me a classical martial artist that can throw a punch like a world class boxer or a kick like Ernesto Hoost? Real combat involves actually striking not just in the air. You don't know a goodamn thing about it so shut the pie hole.
Mas Oyama whose real name was Choi Yeong-eui (최영의; 崔永宜) because he was Korean started or at least made famous the first full contact karate. He trained hours and hours a day, ran through snow barefoor and shirtless for MILES, struck real trees full force, broke rocks, and fought 52 or so real bulls, 3 of which he killed intsantly many others died shortly after. He also killed a man once when assaulted. He said "forms are the most important aspect of martial training".
typical American. this is why your country is going down the pan & taking us with youn... because the vast magority are dumb as shit and are just interested in power minus (that means take away) the knowledge, precision, control and wisdom. yin without yang will take you nowhere but down. Twat.
and "yall".. seriously.. learn real fucking english or just do us all a favour and hurry up and die. dumb hick
does anyone know if there is chi gong involved when training in all of jiao men to master all of jiao men, especially tan tui/tan tuy? This question is for anyone who can answer it, knowledgeable about about it or is studying under a qualified teacher in jiao men or those who have already mastered any type of jiao men training!
Any real and old Asian martial art MUST have chi gong or qigong utilized throughout all the forms. According to all respected Masters forms without chi are empty and have little if any real value in and of themselves similar to a gun with no bullets. This is my honest opinion.

is red a colour often associated with Tan Tui?
looker768 2 years ago
This is a nice style of Tan Tui. It's so much different from my style that it first seemed like an entirely different style of gong fu.

Osu ,
totally agreed on that .
i have studied under a master both schooled in Taijiquan as well Kyokushinkai karate .
Forms are basic to learn the proper stances and get used to moving in that way .. it trains the awareness one needs to know how to move in a fight .
Only after forms are 2nd nature , then one can learn to forget forms ,since now the forms are now integrated within the body .
No further comment ,
now im gonna watch this vid ,
cheers all ,
