what a wonderful song!... I am safe in his arms... I am never alone... That is the promise he made... the great creator. I hope many many people can believe that...So hear him now, he is calling you home...!!
guys, sometimes people don't need to hear your a sinner all the time.. theres enough negativity in life w/o beatin someone up and sayin your a sinner, sometimes you need to know that no matter wh at happens you are safe to come home, like the prodigal son, amen??
In a nut shell, Christ died for us sinners, so that we may have everlasting life and a relationship with God. There is nothing wrong with his song. It's a gentle evangelistic message and there is nothing wrong with that. You are also correct in the comment below about knowledge of sin. Yes we must acknowledge that we are sinners. This, however, is a message of hope for hurting people.
This song has a lot to with the gospel. We aren't alone, and Christ is our strength, our protector and the author and perfecter of our faith.
Matthew 28: 20 says, "lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age".
The truth is that we are never more safe than when we are in the center of God's will. This doesn't mean that harm won't befall us, but it does mean that God is watching us and bringing the best for our life. Ultimately we will be "safe" in His arms in Heaven.
Recently I stumbled across a guy called Phil Wickham singing at Saddleback Church (apparently a well known worship centre in Southern California). It seems that, “Phil is a ground breaking Christian musician in his own right... and [this song] is currently at number five on the Billboard Charts for Christian Music.” My goodness… can this be? Am I alone is wondering what on earth this has to do with the Gospel at all? This guy needs to resolve a few issues from his adolescence and move on...
im kinda bummed that phil wickham conformed to the ways of the christian music industry, his songs on cannons had a bit more originality to them but the songs from this album seem to have gone straight to average worship songs which i think could be better...he is however a really great singer and a genuine person he's awesome i hope his next album is a little bit more real then just paved golden streets and happy crucifix songs
