I personally think this:

Megaman 1: Sure, it was the first game, but it wasn't as good as some others.

Megaman 2-3: Awesome moves made by Capcom.

Megaman 4: Going slightly downhill.

Megaman 5: An improvement from the last game.

Megaman 6: Not as good as others, but still entertaining.

Stone Man Stage has, in my opinion, one of the best musics in the whole classic (1-9) franchise ^^ At least top 5 (wild guess :D)

Anyways, back to MM... 5 was a dud, and 6 was just horrible.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but alot of people share the same view.

2 is thee' best hands down, Everything about the game is perfect, from the graphics,to it's creativity, the level design, it's memorable 'amazing' sountrack.

1 was good, I mean c'mon it was the first of its kind and man was it tuff. Then there was 3, Better than the first, but doesn't come close to the second, awesome game though. 4 wasn't bad, i loved the boss music and mega buster, but this sequal you started to realise "ok this is getting pretty stale...

My favorite of the NES Megaman. It had the best stages and bosses as well as the Charge Shot and slide that were missing from Megaman 2. Wave Man's my favorite Megaman boss of all time!
