whats the difference between waving the flags and standing there and let the breeze move the flag when theres this piece of equipment called a "raceceiver"? Do you think drivers actually pay attention to a flag?
@tkaedingfan Oh and if anyone comes up with some sort of retort "NASCAR only has radios", 99% of local dirt tracks have a radio that is given to each and every team that checks into the track and the drivers are to use them, its for officials to tell the drivers to lineup, yellow, where u lineup after the yellow..etc
I hope they have good working stop lights on that track that are clearly illuminated. For realz. Somebody needs to teach that flagman how to wave the flags and not just fly them.
they should have knew better than to put this man in the flag stand they could have got someone ealse and i want to be a flagman when i grow up and i think at 17 i could have done better than him
@ljostarter and RichKeator : i no wat u mean but u have to remember, its not about the flagman its about the drivers and cars. im both, a racer and starter, and when i flag for the track, i dont do a bunch of bullshit funny fun stuff. its not about me, its about the drivers and cars but i do agree being a flagman takes just a little bit more effort than putting a flag out there
i have a lot of problems wrong with this video... dont get me going on how this track should be embaressed that they have this guy on the stand... by my biggest problem, being a race official myself is the fact that you hear the tower and what Im guessing is race control make the call about the drive shaft being on the race track... and then he comes back and says (at least it sounds like he says) its been there for 8 laps???!? are you serious???!! total lack of care in driver n fan saftey
Wow, this guy is a disgrace to my profession. Race tracks and Sanctioning bodys need to get "starters" and damned good ones too. Tracks and sanctioning bodies nowadays think they can just throw anybody up in a flag stand and think they can work a race well.
You guys are all asses.! this guy is my grandpa and i hope you guys are all ashamed..
