  • How to make a small swan ? please. thanks for answer :)

  • @TheKio550 you can follow the tutorial exactly and use smaller pieces folded from smaller rectangles, or you'll have to make up the swan yourself (less pieces in a row, less rows, etc..)

  • Oh ok i was going to do that but i figured it would be easier if i knew the rows and stuff thanks

  • Do you have a diagram with the number of rows and the base or can you just tell me because i want to make an all white one like a real swan? And if i do all white i would just have to complete the body by just doing row by row right not like outlining the diamonds or anything like that?

  • @Randomweirdos10 i dont have diagram, yes you would just do it row by row if you want, but if you dunno how many rows and stuff you can just follow doing the diamonds and outlining and all that but with white pieces, it'll look the same as doing it row by row since its all white

  • did you design it your self?

  • This the same swan as the black/white/blue swan in your video "3D origami & handicrafts clearance", isn't it? (soooooooooooo beautiful) I'm thinking on making it! :D

  • wat paper did u use for this exactly?

  • @lazyboywalker printer paper

  • @lazyboywalker probably A4

  • how do u no all these origami things?

  • how big does this swan turn out? And about how big would it turn out if I used pieces from rectangles half the size of the normal ones? Please respond. Thanks!

  • @Oridom66 19cm tall, 9 cm wide. with half the size of rectangles I'm not sure if it turns out exactly half the size, it'll just be smaller

  • how much does one of the trianle sticks (prefolded) cost at micheals??

  • @ninjaslovedonuts21 they dont sell them at shops, only i sell them

  • @jewellia7777 o well thats just what i herd T:

  • I am making this with huge pieces of paper so my triangles are really big... Do you think it's gonna be hard? :(

  • @PoiPoi813 not exactly hard, just longer to fold the pieces cos it wouldnt fit in the hand as easily

  • Are you using colored printer paper , you can buy them at staples right , whats the full name of yours ?

  • @VickySaysHii yeah. I live in newzealand, I got it from the warehouse and stationery warehouse. I got different brands. reflex, favini and papago

  • @jewellia7777

can you use pastel paper ?

  • @jewellia7777

can you use pastel paper ?

  • @VickySaysHii ofcourse. thats the colour right? you can use whatever colour you want. if you meant a type of paper, you just try it with a few pieces and see if it stays together

  • @jewellia7777 you never tried using pastel paper

  • @VickySaysHii isnt it just printer paper? but pastel coloured? if so, then yes. I use printer paper all the time, and some of it is pastel coloured. but theres no difference except the colour, its still printer paper

  • @jewellia7777 it is printer paper ?

  • how long does it take to make?

  • @Skelanimals1123 then i re-did it, why? because i was squishing the things, and it became bigger

  • this video was uploaded on my birthday!!!

  • MY FAVORITE TYPE OF ORIGAMI :D Thanks so much!! I thought I've never ever gonna find a tutorial for these kind of ORIGAMIs :D can i ask you? Can you make this kind of 3D Origami Swan yeah Diamond pattern but using only one color? I mean, I want also to make this origami in uni color or only one color but it's hard to use this pattern that works for two colors. I know this is possible in one color. :)

  • @0ewatcher0 yeah ofcourse you can make it in 1 colour, you just wont see the diamonds, you can make it however you like

  • @jewellia7777 I really admire saw? Please teach me and take care leaked ta xau

  • @jewellia7777 could I please you step by step emsinar vazu of various models? please...

  • in 3:44 you showed the connected thingies, my circle is much smaller why?

  • how many colored pieces are in the 3 colored rows in the tail (could u list them separately?like most outer colored row=__, second most outer colored row=__ and then the third most outer colored row=__)

an also how many colored pieces are in the neck (starting at the upside-down V)?

  • how many diamonds are there altogether in the swan?

and btw, i truly love ur artwork

theyre all impressive and you show it in what you do

ive made about 5+ so far for friends and teachers

  • @taylorlautner512 thanks^^

I think its 13. 6 near the bottom, 6 ontop of that row of diamonds and 1 in the tail

  • hi! maybe you know how to make 3d origami race car

I would like to do one for my son bu i can't find a tutorial or diagram for it. maybe you know how to do it or have a tutorial???

  • @karollcia111 nope i dont know how to make a racecar

  • I made the swan in one day. Great tutorial! :)

  • I made a swan just like that but it is on diamond shape it is a heart shape. But it still look good. Thanks for your video anyways it helps alot!

  • can i ask how many pieces will i be needing altogether to make one swan

  • @nizuijinghahaoma did you watch the vid? it tells you the # of pieces at 0.06

  • oh wow that's interesting about where it originated.... I'm Chinese too hmmm lol

  • how many did you use for the base?

  • @momilalafly 36

  • @jewellia7777 thank you (: Looks like I have to use different paper... b/c my base keeps coming apart urghh lol -__-" just wondering are you from Cali?? Is 3-D origami from japan, or korea?

  • @momilalafly I'm from newzealand. they say chinese immigrants started 3d origami when they were in prison

  • @jewellia7777 I know this is a dumb question... but you mean 36 individual triangles for the base? b/c if so I did 36... and my base looks smaller hmm.. I'm so sorry I'm bugging you ):

  • @momilalafly yes, 36 pieces in a row. but if you were making a base, you'd needa make 2 rows at a time for it to stay, so you'd make 36 PAIRS- 2 pieces inserted together, so that would be 72 in total for the 1st 2 rows, 36 in each row. but does it really mater? cant you follow it from the vid? because the base isnt all white, you needa make diamonds at the bottom. so you make triangle shapes and diamonds and then connect them in stead of making a base with pairs

  • @jewellia7777 hey jewellia im wondering are the pieces half size or full size

  • @MsRoseruby full size

  • that time clapse link is not working theres no link D:

  • thats really good!!

  • HI jewellia! :)

Nice tutorial! I made one of these for my mom and want to make one more... But i have no white, what colors do u think i can use ?

  • I made a small swan and showed one of my friends how to make one too.I finished mine way before him and brought the finished model to school just to show him how it looks like.Instead of:taking it out of my backpack leting him look and puting it back it turned out like this...I took it out.....(15 seconds later)around my table there are at least 2 dozen kids with their eyes opened like O's and their faces :OOOOO :)

  • Thanks for this vid! I was looking for a gift i could make!

  • I think eyes or not ur designs are always inspirational

  • @amazingorigamiii aww thankyou!

  • awesome work, but I would drop the eyes. they make the otherwise quality and precious work look cheap. but keep up the good work!

  • @oly11oli na I like the eyes, compared to when I didnt have eyes on my swans before, they looked better when I added eyes on all of them

  • see my vids are good carlos1998ify

  • what size rectangles

  • Just wanted to say:

Thank you so much for this tutorial it's amazing and I've made one swan from your previous diamond pattern swan tutorial already (gave it to my sister for her birthday and I've never seen her so happy about a present before in her life!) and now I'm making one for myself because I'm jealous she has one haha

Anyway your new tutorial is even better and thanks again, you're amazing

    x

  • @Lexame wow thanks for the awesome comment. good on you for making a gift, handmade gifts are awesome if they're good, thats kool that your sister was really happy about it ^_^ thanks, glad this tutorial is better^_^

  • your the BEST

  • do you do the triangles on your own?

  • @JacQuy018 yeah i fold them myself

  • how big is the paper when its still a blank piece of paper o-o cause i think my printer paper wont work for this ... ): and im dying to make a giant dragon ! and i srsly love your 3d origami ! its amazinggg :D

  • @AyeeJojoNguyen its 3.5 x 5.5 cm. or watch the beginner vid and see how its cut, its an A4 paper (21 x 29.7cm) divided into 32 rectangles. good idea about dying it^^ some people said they wanted to colour in with crayon or something lol, dying it is more efficient^_^ glad you like my origami^_^

  • @jewellia7777 lol...i think they meant "dying" as in they really want to make a dragon :P

  • @KenshinForever oh lol I read it wrong, I thought I read dying "it" as in dying paper lol, thanks for letting me know^^

  • @jewellia7777 haha! i figured that's what happened XD

dying paper is a good idea, though...especially if it tie-dye!!!! (i wonder if that's possible....)

  • @KenshinForever i've never dyed paper before, only at primary school using a paintbrush over crayon drawings. im guessing to propely dye paper you soak it in a tray of dye? but i think it would get weak and crinkly. but it would be interesting if it was dyed different colours. experimenting with different paper with different colours and patterns is fun^^ i sometimes try out scrapbooking patterned paper, but solid coloured printer paper still looks the best 4 me^^

  • @jewellia7777 hm....i see. lol XD

ps-do you take requests on what to make in videos?

  • @KenshinForever you can request, but I wont always make them, only the ones li like and want to make, and i wont make them straight away since i may have other tutorials to make, and i wont make them that quick, but yeah you can request if you want

  • @jewellia7777 sweet! there was a video i saw....i'll send it to your inbox :D

  • @KenshinForever oh yeah i've seen those pokeballs before. its not something i would make, but its an interesting new idea^^ its just a ball and I'm sure you could figure out the middle strip pattern by looking at it:-) and just increase on the bottom, decrease at the top, to close up the holes

  • @jewellia7777 well, thanks for kindly rejecting me at least...lol :)

  • @KenshinForever aww i dont wanna be like 'rejecting' you lol, i'm just...too lazy to make it lol

  • @jewellia7777 haha! it's okay :)

  • @AyeeJojoNguyen oops, read your comment wrong lol, I thought you said you were dying paper to make a giant dragon lol

  • Wow! I really want to make 2 of these swans to make them in love^^

I want this to be in my collection!^^

I'm going to make this after the jewelry box!

    -Nice video Julia!^^

  • @derfjink yeah, 2 versions of a model, a boy/girl colour, are cute when they look like a couple^^
