Yes there is a laser sight. Valve said there are upgrades you find in campaigns for weapons.

Oh, forgot to tell you that theres another rumor goin around actually 2 rumors. First rumor is that if you Pre-order L4D 2 you get all the original weapons and the characters playable in Versus. Second rumor that Valve is gonna put melee weapons in L4D (first one)

first rumor. no thats not correct. apparently at TGS they had a mix of the old and new weapons (im sad now cause i have to deal with the old ones know :( ) and second rumor. its false as well, considering the fact that they are putting melee weapons in the second which is a sequel, they wouldnt take take the time to improve an old/beta game.
