We had a small fishing boat, but the communist regime didn't allow my family to use that boat to make a living. Whatever the Communist done to the Khmer people also done to us. My house was taking away, we were forced out of our house, and they sent us to the place called Kinh Te Moi.

The Viet treated khmer very bad.That why khmer hated you. The viet taken alot of our land,sea, kill the buddist, and try to elimate the religion. No better than the khmer Rouge. I hope oneday the USA will take care of you. Nowaday there are over 2 million viet in Cambodia along the khmer border, Mekong river, and Phnom penh. And too many vietnamese prostitutes living in phnom penh spreading the disease.
Indirectly perhaps, but the US also attempted to keep the Khmer from attaining power, US bombing killed many of them, while the Vietnamese helped them obtain power. It is also true that the US aided them after they were deposed, but only indirectly as they had allied with pro democracy and Monarchist groups that the US in turn supported. The US hoped to manipulate them and the Chinese into helping bring a real Government into the region.
@1cam3ron this comment made me overlook at what the US did to cambodian people. they droped booms which took the lives of some of my relatives. we all should blame the US for causing a war in Cambodia. without a war Cambodia will be a rich country. and nobody will look down on us.

I am Khmer and my best friend of 12 years is Vietnamese, she is more or less a family to me. I kinda understand why some of you guys are MAD or maybe hate because my dad was like that.
