I'd say, play guitar if anything, because it's more versatile. You can do more things with a guitar and play different styles. Especially with an electric one. But do whatever you want, it's good to play music on any instrument.

I'm talking about different sounds and stuff. A piano has ONE sound (keyboard doesn't count) where as an electric guitar on the other hand is more versatile in that respect. and acoustic guitar is the same as piano in that way, there's one sound and one tone.

With an electric guitar you can change from clean to distorted channels easily and play a wide variety of styles from everything in between metal and jazz or whatever. while playing whichever style, you can change the tone for variety.
