  • obviously you need an airtank to run those puppies, and eventually the pressure would run down, could you not use a turbo charger like a compressor to save having to use an electrical compressor? or does your pickup have a compressor for its brake system?

  • i love both nathan and leslie, but i have a set of nathan k5la airchimes on my old jeep cherokee and i want to get a set of leslies like yours.

  • where was that when this fuckin grandma cut me off today, she probally woulda shit herself, she barley heard my horn

  • OMG thats fucking awesome

  • OMG that is so cool hahaha i got to get me one

  • how much the gauges cost you?

  • What kind of gauges are those? I like them.

  • @dutch1999 They are autometer and i love them! One pyrometer and boost.

  • There was a 3LR for sale at a swap meet I was at in Santa Clarita, CA today that sold for $5. Was just about to buy it when someone came up and had said they already paid for it and got it before me.

  • haha if i had this is my little nissian people would shit bricks, even though they would already shit bricks hearing it in any vehicle!

  • man that horn is loud! haha, and tht 2nd gen cummins sounds nasty as well, my 3rd gen sounds like crap compared to the 2nd gens i need to do the manifold swap.

  • how much does the horn weigh?

  • how much did it cost for the train horn set up?

  • how much psi are you running

  • On the Leslie, I run MAX 140 P.S.I.

  • that cummins also sounds good as well as that rs3

  • Man I love the way those horns sound.

  • Great sounding RS3LR man

  • A Cummins and an RS3L together?

    Awesome.

  • A great combination

  • A Cummins with a train horn, it doesn't get much better than that. Nice job!

  • don't go through no neighberhood in the middle of the night with that thing.

  • Where did you mount the horn?? I have the same thing but am not sure where to put it?

  • Got a new video of how I installed this horn.

  • cool video great combination a great truck with an equally great horn I miss my old Dodge I had with that engine in it I have a older Ford now that I am going to put my oldcast P5 on the top of

  • all i know is that my cummins i put it in the manifold and i cant even hit higher than 1100 degrees with it

  • Have you got a ticket for it yet... Or are you careful?

  • No ticket yet. I try to be very careful with it.

  • i love that horn if my truck were bigger i would get one but it would seem kinda weird i think on a dodge ram 1500

  • It is the same size truck as mine. It would fit!

  • well how much is the whole setup i think this is bad ass! :D

  • Ur EGT's are pretty high there bud

  • 1000 degrees is not that high.

  • depends on where the EGT sensor is located. If you follow the directions an put it in the downpipe elbow 1000 degress is ok. anything past 1275 usually is bad. If its in the manifold 1000 degress is actually about 850 at the downpipe elbow.

  • The directions don't say that, a useful EGT gauge is in the exh. manifold so you get an exact temp on what the exh is coming right out of the cylinders, in the downpipe after the turbo is unaccurate.

  • I know the instructions say that, but the engineers at cummins say another thing, mounting it after the turbo also "buffers" the heat signal. It's similar to passing a torch over a spoon, the surface sees 1300 degrees quickly but when the flame is removed the temp drops just as quickly. Getting a reading after the turbo "buffers" the temp and gives a more consistant, accurate "heat" reading, not just an instantenous flame burst from the exhaust port. Call cummins or holset. They wont lie to you.

  • Yea it would be a pain I have one and havent even attempted to put it on my truck. I need alot more air for that haha. What setup are you running for the compressor and tank. Check out the rs3l videos I put up see how they sound compared to yours.

  • I have one Viair 450 compressor and a five gallon tank. And a electric valve silonoid to blow the horn. Which is not enough. I am going to get a much larger tank and another compressor soon. Hook that badboy up on your truck and post a vid!

  • Yea I got the same setup. Viair 480c compressor and 5 gallon tank. Just added a 11 gallon but thats to big for the single viair to pump up. You should use a ball valve or a horn valve instead of he solenoid. Its alot better you can control the air going to each bell.

  • Love the truck and the horn. It sounds great!.,.,Sounds like a conrail engine. You got to get your hands on a RS5T!

  • I would love to have a RS5T. That would be a pain to mount that bad boy! It would probably shatter my windows! lol

  • nice truck, killer sound and i love the train horn lol

  • awesome horn and truck great job five stars
